Thanks to everyone for stopping by! The encouragement is certainly appreciated these days. :D It is Stress City, USA over here this week.

I'm glad others can relate to the quest for pet-friendly rentals, but I have to say that I think moving walls would be it for me. That is precisely what I am trying to avoid! We decided last evening we may need to broaden our search to include houses and consider buying. If we buy we're going to make sure it is a small starter home so we're not making a huge investment in the event we opt to live in another area before we're ready for kids. It is not what we had hoped to do, but life requires one to be flexibile so we're just looking for the best solution right now. We have an appointment today to get pre-approved so we know what we're working with and then we're off on the house hunting trail in addition to the apartment hunting trail.

In the midst of all of this, the scale is my best friend these days. I am dipping dangerously close to that 100# Club mark. I am not averaging anything more than usual, but as I'm getting closer and closer it gets more exciting and more motivating. As of this morning I am but a mere 29.4lbs from goal. Nope, I do not consider it "official" as it is not official weigh-in day, but it makes me really excited to see my scale flash that bright red "29.4" at me from the little Pounds to Go column. Who doesn't love that? To be under 30lbs to go is somehow a huge milestone in my book. I will log that one in the victory column in my little journal of life.

My apologies again for not keeping up with everyone's journals more closely but I am here and rooting for everyone and promise to be more attentive when life slows down a wee bit.

Cyd, I'm so glad the scale is cooperating these days. Good job!

And good luck on the hunt.

Sooooo.......I weighed in at 173.0 on the nose this morning. My last weigh-in was Friday morning before I left for the weekend and I was at 174.2 and I had another really good, spot on weekend so I was apparently rewarded. With that said, I am a little surprised that I lost 3.8lbs last week! I had to use my calculator to be sure I wasn't flipping the numbers around in my head. Sure enough, 176.8 - 173.0 = 3.8lbs lost. What do you know?

So going into this week I have two goals. (1) Hit the 100# Club before I go home for the holiday. This means I have to average about .66lbs/day for the next few days. If I follow last week's precedent this should be perfectly doable. (2) Actually lose weight this week. Usually when I have a big week I am "rewarded" with a crappy week of almost no loss, so I'm hoping I can kiss that trend goodbye with this week.

I have Thursday - Monday off from work. We will literally be spending all day Thursday house hunting. We already have pre-approval from our bank and with what we have saved up we'd have no problem making our down payment, etc. so it should be a fairly simple mortgage process us for us when we get to that point. I will keep you posted. In the meantime, my stress-filled hunt for a job continues...

I know it!!! It is feels so surreal right now. In fact, all of life feels surreal. To be 100lbs lighter (essentially), planning a wedding, buying a house, relocating, finding a new job, moving in with my fiancé, marrying off two friends this summer, etc. well, nothing feels real right about now! And when I say that, it is in the absolute best way possible.

Good luck on the house-hunting! It'll be so nice to have your own space where you won't have to worry about pets, etc. When are you getting married?

We are getting married July 18, 2009...so I've got just about a year to hit goal and then get toned and lean. I have firmly decided there will be NO dress shopping until I hit goal so that is great motivation right now!

Oooooo....a star!

Today was another busy day of research, phone calls, travel plans, interview scheduling, etc. I have an interview on Thursday that I am REALLY excited for and will be following it up with an appointment with our realtor to see four houses that afternoon before heading home to spend the long weekend on the lake with my family. No movement on the scale yet since yesterday, but I am ok with that for now...maybe in the morning there will be some downward momentum. I hope I hope! :D

Stopping in real quick to let everyone know I am still alive and still afloat. Things are mounting in the stress and hectic schedule department these days. I managed to eek down to 172.4 last week and can hopefully keep losing over the next several weeks. With that said, I don't even have enough time to update tickers so hopefully I can get to that later in the week.

Still on the house hunt and the job hunt...
I started last Thursday with a job interview and we followed it up with seeing 12 houses. Exhausting.

I hope everyone is doing well and keeping it up. Happy Belated July 4th!

Thanks for the encouragement! :D It is definitely Stress City, USA in my world right now and it is really tempting to want to curl up on the couch with a Sex and the City DVD, a glass of wine and some cashews. I am just working on staying strong and sticking with it, and knowing that I am too close to let myself get derailed now.

Have some puddin'. Or a nice, comforting bowl of oatmeal with lots of sugar-free syrup added (wasn't there an apple oatmeal or something? I used to add caramel syrup; yum).

Yes! I love my evening pudding...sometimes I make it thicker and more like fudge. And yup, there is a delicious apple cinnamon oatmeal and I love it!

:D

Hanging in over here. Another crazy busy weekend to come. I have my bags of MF meals packed up and ready to go. Is it sad that I sometimes find myself riding around with a big box straight from MF in the hatch of my VW Rabbit just because it's simpler than dragging it inside and portioning it out? I'm always on the go anyway!
