Me too! I will definitely keep the extra meal thing in mind and if need be, perhaps I will adapt to some kind of 4/2 plan as necessary to get through the summer, understanding it will slow down my progress, but it should largely serve to keep me on track. We shall see how it works out. For now I am gearing up for a weekend of apartment hunting! I will keep you posted on how it goes.

Hmmmm....apartment hunting = exhausting. Especially when you spend an entire day searching and come up empty handed. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. *sigh* You wouldn't think it would be this hard to find someplace reasonably habitable with an accommodating pet policy. Call me crazy, but I refuse to see why we should have to live in a dump simply because I happen to pack a black lab wherever I go. Mike is going to spend tomorrow morning on the phone trying to hunt down some new prospects and then we'll be back at it...with a bit of lucky, maybe we'll find a place soon.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by, Sharon! I have my days of not doing so great from the outlook standpoint, but I try to stay true to plan and keep on track. It works for me. I'm proof that MF works - follow the plan, see results. It is that simple.

I am interested to see how my weigh-in works out tomorrow morning. That time of the month showed up today so things might not be as low as I had hoped, but I can handle that, all things considered. If I budged more 0.8lbs I should be a pretty happy camper...and then I'm, as always, hoping for a big week this week.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and have a great week!

Crazy hectic day here at work today, but just popping in to report a loss of 2.4lbs last week bringing me to 176.8lbs. I will update tickers and all that jazz tonight I hope...and catch up with everyone's journals, too! :D

Soooo I went ahead and adjusted my tickers to today's morning weight as opposed to yesterday's official weight. Only 5lbs to go and my tush is sliding into the 100# Club! I would love (L.O.V.E.) to make it there by the time I get home next weekend for the holiday. I'm excited just realizing it is a possibility!

I am already 10lbs lighter than the last time I was home over Memorial Day weekend so maybe family will even notice...if not, oh well, I bought jeans in a size 12 this weekend! Yes, I still have a bit of muffin top going on and I probably won't wear them in public yet, but I rolled into the store wearing my baggy size 16 skirt and was shocked at how easy the 12s zipped. I have never, ever, not once, as an adult had 12s on my body. That is NSV if I've ever had one! On clearance for $16.99 at the Gap, those jeans went home with me - by the time I'm ready for them officially (as in, no muffin top) I will be damn glad to have scored that good of a deal on nice jeans. Ironically, I went in for 14s and walked out with one pair of size 12s and am now thinking I will just skip 14s all together and go right to the 12s. Nuts. My ultimate jeans size goal is an 8/10 or so, making closable size 12s a nice weekend victory.

Anyway, things are still hectic schedule-wise around here, but best of luck for a great week to everyone and I will do my best to be around a bit more this week.

Thanks! The 12s were definitely a treat.

.....and somewhere back in reality I am recovering from a mini nervous breakdown earlier in the evening. The stress is definitely starting to get to me. This move, this need for a job, this impossible task of finding a dog-friendly apartment in a location that allows Mike to have a reasonable commute is getting to be too much. I just spent the last two hours crying, whining, and venting to a combination of Mike, my father, my roommate, his greyhound and my black lab. I think they appreciate my dramatics this evening.

*sigh* Oh well. No worries. My meltdown did not include a food binge of any kind. With that said, about an hour ago there was about nothing I wanted more in the world than to be lost on the lake somewhere by myself in a canoe without a paddle, a bottle of chilled Riseling, and a single bar of Godiva dark chocolate. And maybe some Sun Chips. I love Sun Chips.

Good job avoiding the comfort food! Mmmm, Riesling. Yum.

DH and I had the same hard time finding an animal friendly apartment before we found this place. We have four cats and a dog, so we figured we were gonna pay out the booty on deposits. And DH and I work on opposite ends of town (he's north, I work south). When we found this duplex we thought we'd hit the jackpot!

The landlord lives part time on the other side, and part time in Cali. He said if we'd take care of the property while he was away, he didn't care how many animals we had, and we could do anything we wanted inside. What we didn't realize, though, was that he REALLY doesn't care!

While we were moving a large piece of furniture in I accidentally stumbled and bumped into the outer wall, and the wall actually moved! If we pushed against the wall we could actually see out into the yard under the bottom of the wall! When we reported it to the landlord, he just chalked it up to living by the lake! We finally got it repaired ourselves and deducted the cost of repairs from the rent, which is what we've been doing ever since. He hasn't complained, so I guess as long as he doesn't have to get involved he's ok with it. But man, I definitely shed some tears and drank a bottle of wine or two over that ordeal!

Of course, now we can never move 'cause I don't think we'll ever find another rental that'll allow such a zoo!

OMG on the wall moving!

I also had a heckuva time finding a rental when I first moved here (I wanted to wait on buying a place, to make sure I wanted to stay). I ended up renting a house that belonged to a couple who used to live there, but had bought a bigger place nearby. They had several Rottweilers, so not only did they not mind that mine were a pitbull-shepherd mix and a heeler-Rottie mix, but they even had built-in kennels in the yard. I never used the kennels cause my kids are indoor dogs, but I did use them once to separate everyone when a friend brought her dog over and mine tried to kill it.

Reminds me to make sure not to show up at Robin's house unannounced with my two pooches. ;)

Cyd, great job avoiding the temptations. I'm not much for wine or dark chocolate, but definitely understand how the stress of your current situation can lead to weakness.
Hang in there and you will see that the temptation of the moment is not as strong as your inner desire to be healthy. Have a good one.

Ha. It's safe now, Mike. That was Maggie, the one I lost to cancer right after Christmas 2006. Teemu likes any dog that doesn't get in his face too much, and Mojo ... it's hard to say. She seems to be a little too much for some dogs, and they get aggressive toward her (and she reacts in kind). But when the dog next door tunneled under the fence and into our yard, the three of 'em had a BLAST together before I noticed the interloper. And a different friend has brought her dog over to play with Mo, and they got along great.
