Cliche photo alert part II

Postby Joelie » December 17th, 2006, 8:36 pm

and here is mine.

In my old size women's 24 that were VERY tight in March before I started the program. I actually needed to go up to another size but refused. That was when I had my melt down, Brian told me to "do something about it" and BAM! I found a full page ad in my Woman's Day mag with Mary Jane Medlock's before and after shots the very next day. Did some research, found this WONDERFUL forum/support group and the rest is history. :D

OMG! That's amazing! I have a pair of size 40" jeans I wore before I started the program to take a picture like that! You guys look so wonderful! I'm so thrilled, so inspired, so happy!

Especially inspiring to me because I still wear size 24 pants... :( Down from 26's I needed Spanx to wear comfortably.

I can't believe how amazing you guys look! Congrats a million times over.

But what I REALLY can't believe is how blonde I've been all this time - I had no idea you two were a pair! I swear, I've read Joelie posts and read BDG posts, and literally didn't know you came together! :-) Yes, I am a natural blonde. Yes, it's proven obvious today.

Well, you guys look so fantastic, the holiday cheer must be bounding through the house!

Have fun -

Joelie, you are so inspiring !! Thank you so much for sharing this photo and for sharing your story with us. Your success just really speaks to me about the beautiful changes that can occur within oneself and within one's life, when a person makes the decision to change (and finds the right way to do it, too) !

Congratulations on such a success !! It makes me almost wish I actually had a pair of "before" jeans... I absolutely refused to buy myself any pants or anything after a point... so I just don't have that stuff around. What a great way to measure your success :).

Cheers to you, Joelie :).

Karli, dear, can't help asking-what did you wear if you refused to buy "pants or anything" after a point?

Oh I am holding on to a pair or two of my size 26W's. I will keep them in the same drawer I have kept that one xsmall t-shirt and 2 size medium cashmere sweaters I haven't had the heart to throw out. The tshirt I keep mostly because it wouldn't even accomodate ONE of the twins now and it used to fit all of me!

I was down to one single dress that you can see in my dreadful "before" shot on page 2 of this studio ! :-P Getting back into that just does not have the same affect that getting into a pair of jeans from 60 pounds ago would. But, that's okay.

Thanks for clearing that up because I was imagining some sort of small nudist colony in your neighborhood. I didn't think about it too long. Don't worry.

Wow -wow-WOW!!!
Joelie. Brian.
Oh. My.

You two are simply amazing!!
This needs to be on a TV ad somewhere!
Thanks for providing such inspiration!

Hey Robin, Karlie, and Alex. Go to a Goodwill store, or Walmart or somewhere and just purchase a pair of jeans in your highest size. I think it'd be worth the small cost for such a great picture, don't you? I have my largest jeans, but I didn't even do jeans after a certain size - I lived in stretch leggings with elastic waists or sweats. SO attractive!
