On my first day back on program my daughter threw up in the car on the way to daycare. I was off that day from school so of course I wanted to keep her but everyone says I have to drop her off 5 days a week or else she will never get use to it. Anyway, I pulled into the closest supermarket and cleaned everything up then went in to get her some bread for her belly. I waited in a long long line then when I was third in line a cashier pulled me to her register, then realized she had no cash in her drawer. I waited another 5 minutes before jumping back into another line. Then the lady infront of me had a bunch of wic coupons and couldn't speak English and was trying to argue with the cashier about the coupon. I spent about 30 minutes in line for bread for my hungry heavy baby that's jumping around on my hip trying to grab everything-- after cleaning up vomit that was now stewing in my car. I was about to loose my mind! :x The fact that I couldn't grab one of the 100 kinds of chocolate that I was staring at for those 30 mins didn't help either! Before I snapped at everyone, I checked myself and convinced myself to simmer down.

Geez! Well, the positive side of that is that I didn't grab the candy, my baby finally got her bread, and she didn't throw up at daycare because she got it out of the way in the car

Thanks holberry for sharing your story! I watch my neice at night while my sister works and so it would be great if she returned the favor in the day while I am at school but she too goes to school in the day so I wasn't so lucky this semester. Maybe next semester she can do it...or Geli' will stop vomiting.

Hawaii is great weather wise!!!! I love that I can adjust the temperature of my home very accurately by adjusting the degree to which my window is open. I live near the ocean so the tradewinds are really strong. Little chilli? Close the window a tad and the weather inside is perfect!

They say that indoor air is 5X more polluted than outdoor air except for those who keep their windows open so I dig that aspect of it too!

Don't get too envious though! I pay over 700 for daycare, well over 3.50 a gallon for gas, and a gallon of milk is 5 dollars ON SALE! Oh, and my husband pays 12 dollars a day to park near his work in a dirt lot!

I lost another pound today! I am loving it!

Got an "A" on my test  I don't need an "A". I just need a "C" to pass and get my degree, but if I don't get an "A" on a test it just ruins my week! I got a 98 on the first and second midterms and then I got an 88 on the third and I was crushed for days! I didn't study much for that one so I got what I deserved!

Why cant I apply that to my MF goals :x I need to figure out how to get my mind set on being satisfied only with an "A" in Medifast.

Anyway, this morning was bad scale wise but I am still 3lbs down from start day (last Thurday) so I am fine with it.

;) I'm off to look at role call and journals......

OK - so, next time I get a free airline ticket, I want to come to visit you!!! I am so jealous. Don't you just laugh at people who are never happy where they are? I do like Ohio though - because it always changes weather wise.

Congratulations on your A. I was a perfectionist at school too, but that can get stressful - so be careful.

Thanks for coming to my place! I am so glad you are back!!!

Aloha!

Today was good! The scale went down another lb and I can't wait until Thursday when I can get my official week one weight loss totals and move that ticker!

I love that I started a new ticker. The zero lost so far thing is very motivating. I don't want to discount my success from last year, but hey, it's been a while and now it's time for a fresh start.

Steph just got back from Morrocco and she restarted yesterday. She seems fired up so I am sending good vibes her way. I can't wait for my annual visit to FL in August! I hope she blows me away! I know she will!

I am soooo sick of the food! I did only choc shakes for a while, then I got sick of them and went to strawberry. I am now getting sick of that and so tried choc again.....no likey likey.....hummm.....I think I better dig into my pantry and retry the ones collecting dust. They say your tastebuds change right? We will see!

Good Night!

Katie is right - 3 pounds is great! Keep it up and you'll see how quickly those pounds will add up.

Thank you for your positive energy!

Okay I created my freaky school nerd plan of action and I love it.

I download the body for life journal page off of the website and write my plan for the day on the left column. Then I write the actual on the right.

At the end of the day I grade myself based on:
50pts possible for eating all 6 meals
20pt possible for water
5pt for proper spacing
20 for eating all veggies ( :-P )
-10pt for extra meal/questionable content in lean and green (ie. ceasar dressing on side at restaurant)
-5pt for extra snack

yesterday's grade was 77 and today was 71. :?

I like this method so far because it motivates me to be better. For instance, my husband asked me if i wanted a soda and I said, "no, i better have at least 3 glasses of water with dinner instead to keep that grade up."

My downfall this week is that I have been so busy with school that we have been eating out everynight. I order what i believe is fair but restaurants hide all kinds of nonsense and don't have nut labels so I never feel like I had a great MF day.

I have this weekend to recooperate and go grocerie shopping and preplan the this week's meals so I am looking forward to "A's"! I also have a paper to write this weekend and I promised to help my friends too.....I'll fit it all in somehow....

:?: Please give me your opinion on the grading system. Should I put more weight on a certain section? did I miss something very important that should be included in the grading system?

Oh, and does it take forever to get a link on this page to pop up for you? I try to participate more in this forum but it's soooooo slow! I have road runner and my other searches are fast. :?:

Aloha, Charity!

Thank you SO much for this post ~ what a spectacular idea!

Total geek that I am, I think that this will really help me. A lot. My main problem lately has been appropriate spacing of meals... BUT, I've been completely on plan since I began, so yay for me! The only thing I'll be doing differently is making the points equal 100 ~ like 50 pts for eaing all 6 meals, 25 for water, and 25 for spacing. All I'll really have to work on is the spacing, and I'm all about getting those As, so this'll be a great incentive for me!

You ROCK!!!

p.s. There's a thread in the Web Room about the sluggish issues this site has been experiencing, but Unca's on it and it should be resolved soon! Yeah, 'cause Unca rocks, too! :D

Hasta!

Thanks for the advise!

I did up the spacing points because that is a big issue here.

bonus points? Hum....didn't think of that! That would be a great idea! If i mess up a little and have an extra snack (that PB just calls to me sometimes!), I can partially redeem myself by drinking more water......excellent!

I just got my PB powder in the mail and I am not thrilled with the taste! Boo! I really wanted to like it. I will try it on the choc bar and in a shake and see if it's okay like that. OH boy, a pb and J shake sounds super super good!

Tomorrow is official weigh in day for me and with aunt flo I am only 2 down! Let's see what the scale fairy does overnight!

Have a great day y'all!

I got a 100% yesterday and I am well on my way to another 100%

It was so friggin easy to do too! :dooh:

I am loving my grading system! I looked at a piece of cheese in the fridge yesterday and I said to myself, "self, you are going to get a 100% today so no cheese, darn it!"

The site it slow again! I have no tolerance for slow internet! I don't know why, but it's one of those things that just gets under my skin! I think it's because I am ususally working on homework that has a close deadline....

Have a great day!

Aloha all!

I had chronic headaches and so I went to see the doctor. I told her that I suspected it had something to do with me starting the nursing program and falling off program and eating junk food.

She then told me that I should stop medifast all together because I am not fat enough for it! Also, because it doesn't teach you how to eat right, you just gain the weight back when you quit.

I have gained about 8 pounds since quitting  , but I disagree with her....

Anyway, I keep wondering if I should get a second opinion....

I love reading about your sucesses folks! Thanks for posting!
