Can you tell me... the difference btwn full fast & modif

Postby Raetish3 » February 26th, 2006, 7:24 am

I am seriously considering switching over to the full fast diet..My Dr is more then willing to monitor me...He says if I fail on this diet he will recommnend me for lap banding or another form of surgery...

I am very desperate to get the weight off (I need to have 54 lbs off by June 23rd).

Basically I need to have all the facts when I go in for my bloodwork.

How many shakes a day on full fast???

Do you eat protein bars on full fast??

etc..

Yes, you can have bars (one per day) on the full fast and it's 6 supplements a day.

From what I've read, I don't think you will have much better results using the full fast as opposed to the 5 & 1 plan. Of course, that's if you stick to the guidelines in the Quick Start Guide. The difference is only 2-3 pounds over the course of the diet! I was on the full fast years ago and didn't lose any faster than I am now. I'm sure it's different for everyone, though.

One thing to consider if you do the full fast: I had a completely different reaction to the full fast - physically, I mean. I was constipated most of the time......not pleasant. It was so much more expensive because of additional Dr. visits, blood tests, EKG's. When I went off the fast, I do believe the transition wasn't planned well and I began gaining weight immediately. It was such a shock to my system to introduce food when I had been on liquid for so long (9 months). With the 5 & 1, you are already eating real food, real meals, so your body won't have such a drastic change when transitioning. I for one, don't plan on doing this again, so I will grab every advantage I can for maintaining.

Your goal of 54 lbs by June is very reachable! Look at me and others here. I was at 50 lbs. lost after a just over 3 months. You have lost a bunch in less than 2 months, so you could definately be there sooner than you think!

Good luck in whatever choices you make.
