Calling all 'Zonies...L & G part 4...

Postby dede4wd » June 27th, 2006, 2:24 pm

Hiya,
I'll be home from the 3rd 'till the 10th or 11th. Who's available for a L & G and a chat? I'm thinking the evening of Wed July 5 or Thur July 6. Who's available? I'm leaning towards the Desert Ridge area (kind of equidistant...) so everyone doesn't have to drive TOO far (except Geri & Elke!) But location is definitely negotiable. Who's in?

Desert Ridge works for me. Either day is fine. That might be my first trip to a restaurant for my L&G. Whee!

6:30 is fine. It gives me enough time to get across town and beat the worst of rush-hour traffic. We doing Outback?

Here's a list of all the restaurants at Desert Ridge, most of them won't work of course (In-N-Out is not going to happen!!! )
# Bahama Breeze
# Bamboo Club
# BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse
# California Pizza Kitchen
# Fat Tuesday
# Fatburger
# Grilled Expedition
# In-N-Out Burger
# Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks
# Keva Juice
# Macaroni Grill
# Malees Thai Bistro & Sushi Bar
# Mimi's Cafe
# On The Border Grill & Cantina
# Panda Express
# Papa's Noodle Kitchen
# Paradise Bakery & Cafe
# Port Of Subs/Smoothie King
# Rock Bottom Brewery
# Rubios Baja Grill
# Salute Italian Ristorante
# Sweet Tomatoes
# T.G.I. Fridays
# The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

The only one's of those I have been to (besides fast food) are Macaroni Grill, Mimi's Cafe, and CPK. TGIF's always makes me think of "Office Space" ("How many pieces of flare do you want me to wear?")

OMG I LOVE that movie!

What do you think? Islands? TGIF? Macaroni (they have that salmon and asparagus Wildtrk talks about). I don't care! Laura, is it too far for you? Jen, where are you, what side of town? I don't care where we go!

If it's in the metro Phoenix area, I'll go there. I consider anything under a 60 min drive "not too far". I'm open to restaurants too, although I think stepping foot in Macaroni Grill might be too much temptation for me! I used to go to Macaroni Grill once a week. Ooooh that bread! Ooo...that pasta! Mmmph!

Yeah,
You're right, I don't think I could HANDLE Macaroni myself! That's definitely out! You guys pick a part of town and a place and i'll be there! Did you get together tonight, Laura?

I'm at the 51 fwy and Shea, near PV Mall, but I can drive wherever. When you guys mentioned "Outback" do you mean Outback Steakhouse? There is one at 4715 E. Cactus Road near me (unless that's too far north for some) but I have no idea what you could order there for a L&G.

Actuall I think we have been there before. You guys know that I am far out so just figure it out and if I can make it then I will be there. I can pretty much find my way and I wont be taking the bike this time.
