I am officially PISSED OFF. :x I know part of being on Medifast is being patient but I am still in my first week and weigh exactly what I did yesterday. 221.4 In my past experience the weight just flies off in the beginning. I was 100% compliant yesterday-had my meals perfectly spaced-carefully measured my L&G-and picked a low carb vegetable-LETTUCE!!!! Day before yesterday I did quite a bit of walking, 2.5 miles, which is unusual for me, so yesterday I was a slug. Stayed home and drank my water. Still the scale did not move.I'm not near my TOM so that isn't it. Tomorrow is another day... All I can do is stay compliant and be grateful I didn't gain any MORE weight. :coach: Body, do you hear me, drop some lbs.!

I know you know this already....but ....

Ignore the scale! You know that you are following the program, you know that the weight will come off if you stay compliant.

Just as my 1.5# gain this week is not a true gain and my scale is not 'accurate'......your scale is not showing the truth either.

You know that the program works. This time the weight did not come off as fast at the beginning (for me). Each of us is so different and each of us will have a different 'second' (or 3rd or....heaven forbid--4th) time on the program.

Behave, quit getting cranky at the darn piece of metal and know that if you are compliant------the weight is going to come off. That darn scale is not going to be accurate all the time....Don't make me reach through the computer and shake my finger at you! ;)

Seriously.....you know, the scale is sometimes a day or two or more behind what is really happening. Your clothes may show the body changes before the scale shows them. Eyes and mind focused...just do the program. The weight will come off.

Biki,

I totally know what you are going through. This is my first week also. And on the 3rd day I started gaining. I was getting pissed also. That is why I have not been on the scale since. I next time I get on that scale will be sunday for Roll Call.

Have a great day.

Also, remember if you are taking any medications that can affect it was well. But listen to T, she makes perfect sense. I know you are in DC, but have you watched the crazy nutty weather we are having here? I am a teacher and we are out of school today, but I am not sure why other than the heater wasn't wanting to work yesterday. There may have been some ice. I get an extended Christmas break! Do you like the RTD shakes? You mentioned that you don't like the bars because they encourage you to cheat. I can't do the powdered shakes, because they always seem to be weirdly textured. I don't what kinds of things set you off but I have found the oatmeal raisin crunch bar (which I don't really like those type of cookies) really helps me get through the mornings, and it doesn't set me off. On occasion the other ones can.

I don't find RTD shakes satisfying enough, although I have used them in emergencies. I like regular shakes.

Biki, I'm sorry to read that you are having ear pain--it is the pits. I'm also sad to read that you have a friend who is ill.....I hope he/she will be okay.

Take care of you.

Tawanda.
