Thank you all for your kind words :D ... I am really happy.

Lizabette, as far as maintenance goes... I think i've learned a lot about portion sizes and healthy choices, but if i'm being honest, i'm terrified of maintenance. I'm certain i'm not ready for that yet. I've been reading the transition plan over and over. I plan to call into one of the weekly calls about transition/maintenance to hear others talk about it. I am planning on doing that when i'm within 1 to 2 pounds of my goal, but maybe i should start now to get myself ready.

I will certainly post about my progress once I get there. I know I am really interested in others who have achieved their goal and how they are maintaining it, so I know others must be also. We all know Nancy's story and she's amazing but we like to hear others too. So rest assured I will let you all know.

Dear Gr8 Being YOU ~

What a wonderful picture and your Forum name tells the story!

I like the fact that you started off on your weight loss journey with such positive self thoughts.

I also see the high importance that you place on making :kool: cool memories with your boys. As you stuffed the bears in the ‘before’ picture you were making a choice to de-stuff yourself!

You look so beautiful, Gr8. Your neck and waist are well-defined and that has a big impact on your  heart health, too. When we have a waistline under 35 inches, the liklihood for  heart disease diminishes. That means more years to be with your boys and to  love them through adulthood!

It can feel  scary as we approach maintenance but just remember, you have learned so many things during the weight loss phase of the program that will carry on thru transition and then into mantenance.

For life-long weight management, we continue to :bib: eat every two and a half to three hours.

We continue to choose smaller meal portions, select fresh vegetables and fruit, lean fish, polutry and meat, choose low calorie dairy foods and limit our portions of high-glycemic carbohydrates and fat – do not eliminate them just choose wisely the foods that are not highly processed. Pick fresh foods before frozen; frozen before canned.

Follow the BeSlim™ Philosophy and you will stay at your  optimal weight for life.

It is a daily choice.

When :candle: birthdays, :toast: anniversaries, and :drive: vacations come along we must remember that those special days last just one twenty-four hour day – they are not a license to pork out for a week or a month.

Vacations are fun but we must remember that the scale never takes a vacation and we cannot take a vacation from our health – daily making great choices is how we manage our weight AND stay healthy.

Frequent weight monitoring and a few packets of Medifast a day keeps us from getting out of control.

You look super and I am proud of your accomplishment, Gr8!

GR8, what an inspiration.

I don't know if you ladies and gentlemen know what a help it is to us "newbies" to see actual pictures of people who have managed to be successful in a program. You see the pictures on TV, magazines, but those are just strangers, people who could have been photoshopped, airbrushed, whatever to get you to try this or that program.

One of the best things I have found about medifast, and why I KNOW this time I will be successful, is talking to you, receiving private messages from you, and reading your posts, but most of all seeing the photos of all of you, that have either reached or are well on the way to the "new" you.... It makes it believable for me, makes me know that real people out there are successful at this program, and if they can do it, some that weigh more than me, some less than me, then I can do it. I can, I will..... I know it this time, I have no more doubts, no more anxiety, no more stress, it is just this time, this way... and when I am at my goal weight, and I post my after pic's, I just pray that I can be as much of a inspiration to someone who is my shoes, as you all were to me...

Thanks Again.....

Tio ~

You are right-on about the encouragement that comes when we are able to see the pictures of real live every day people who are doing what we wanna do, who know how it feels to struggle with our size, to know how it feels to have a hurting body and to huff and puff when we walk with others who seemingly have no limitations - the Studio is a helpful place and a source of constant inspiration. It helps us to see how we can be transformed, too.

Soon we will be gazing at your photo journey and you will help others to catch the vision and to be inspired by your story. We are happy to have you onboard with us as we travel to Thinville!
