Don't Be Afraid!

Postby Bling Bling » April 22nd, 2006, 12:34 pm

Hi! My name is Karen ("Bling Bling") and I was hoping to find someone just like you to begin the program with. I, also, have been on every diet program and in every diet group you can imagine exists! I am 57 yrs. old and weigh about 270#'s. I want to get the weight off for health reasons, but will be happy to feel better in my clothes as well.

I have a friend who lost 140#'s on this program...just like Nancy and others have done. I'd love to join them in being successful at reclaiming my health and well-being once again.

We can do this. They have done it. It is possible! If I can help...just shoot me an e-mail. Don't be afraid...be excited about what is to come. I'm sure there will be difficult times. Nothing of value comes easily, but I truly believe that this is the best approach to losing weight.

God Bless your efforts! Hope to hear from you.

I PROMISE to post a before pic and one per month, updates every week. My question is...what do you feel is the single most important thing to do on this plan. I also ask, has anyone ever NOT lost weight?????? :?: :?:
Thanks in advance, you all THE BEST

XWOMAN,

WELCOME TO THE FOLD!

Xcellent advice you have already received. You won't be sorry! I suppose most of us have been on most diets in Xistence and failed to lose or keep it off. I have not heard of anyone who is compliant on MF who has not lost weight. It is really up to you.

Remember, we'll be here every step of the way with you... :you:

There is also another tool that I have used on MF. It is a guide book called "Success in a Shaker Jar" by Linda Sprangle, RN, MA and it can be ordered on this site or through your HA. It goes into more detail and adds insight to the Quick Start guide.

So glad you are here with us, XWOMAN. Can't wait to see your before and during pictures.

Hi XWoman-I am so excited for you to get started. The Medifast program REALLY works. I think most of us have been on ALOT of programs in the past. I have found that this is the easiest program for me to stick with because i see results immediately, & consistently. I can follow it & not be hungry, not be weighing & cooking & prepping lots of stuff, not be exercising in the wee hours of the morning, and I'm still having chocolate stuff along the way!

Like everyone else has said, it's very important to follow the quickstart book that comes with your first order. It tells you exactly how to do the program & what you can & cannot have. In addition to having a free health advisor that you can contact whenever you need to, this forum is an excellent place to get additional support & we're all here to help you along on your journey. As someone else said, you can order samples of things so you can try them out, but I would suggest you call in first because there are coupons that can be offered for your FIRST order only & you'd hate to miss out on saving $$. Mark down your measurements, because they'll be changing quickly. And speaking of measurements... it's also good to measure everything--sometimes you may not see the scale go down, but you will see the inches disappearing, which is just as nice!

So happy you are getting ready to join all of us!

Welcome and Congratulations on deciding to start the program!! I think it is very important for you to have confidence in yourself. Know that you can do it and you will. I have been on MF for less than a week now but it has been so incredibly easy for me and I have already lost 6 pounds! Sure, I had lost some weight before starting MF but it took forever(over a year of yo-yo dieting to be more specific)

Good Luck! I know that you will do great!
