Thanks for the affirmation, Charity. Still, I am no more amazing than many others who have had similar accomplishments! Medifast is a great program. :cheermed:

Mary, only 2# to goal?! Fabulous and exciting!!

I'm glad I was wrong about the gold star (thinking it was 110 instead of 100). I'm a bit envious that I won't get to have one of those (I know, that makes no sense in a way).

I look forward to congratulating you on hitting your goal---Soon!
Began MediFast 2/10/07 212#
Reached Goal 3/15/08 147#
Renewed commitment 9/20/09-after regaining 38# (185#)
Reached Goal 1/25/10 147# Maintaining :)

Yep ... 2# to goal! And I'll be transitioning while on a cruise ship in Cozumel. Go figure.

Don't fret about being wrong about the :star: ... and please, don't be envious either. The color does not suit you!

Thank you for your support!

Thanks, Mary!

That graphic is pretty accurate!
But....I'll make it ~ thanks for asking.
Intense schedule - so much so that I'm taking a Shakespeare class just for a break. ;)
My friends laugh at me and say that Shakespeare is not "light reading."
Maybe not, but it definitely isn't Biopsych or another research seminar!

Congrats again on your wonderful success!

I adore Shakespeare. It never fails to mesmerize a man when you can recite sonnets. For a special occasion my husband took me to see "The Tempest." I frankly had seen it done much better. I am considering taking Shakespearian acting classes this fall.

I'm so late to this party! I have a habit of only reading journals and then I miss out on wonderful occasions like this! Mary, you have done so well! 100 pounds in a year is an amazing accomplishment. I'm glad you've done this for yourself. You are such an inspiration - not just for the weight loss but for your kind words, positive outlook and for completing two degrees in the last few years. It looks like if there is something you want to do, you just go out and do it. What a fantastic example!

Thanks for the congrats, kind words and the cool graphic! :D

As you well know, MF is an outstanding program. My weight loss has slowed down considerably--but that's to be expected at this stage of the weight loss phase. I should make goal soon, probably within 11 months of my start date. Yeah, you might say that I am rather strong willed and tend to finish what I set my mind to!

You are also doing very well! Going strong with the exercise too :treadjog: You won't regret being toned when you reach goal! Keep up the good work. It befits your beautiful attitude and charm! :D

You started 16 days before I did and I am so happy we have both stuck around and done well! Just think of all the people who have come and gone since November, and we're still here! I don't have a crystal ball but I hope we both reach goal by the 11 month mark!

For some people it's just not the right time for MF ... and timing, coupled with determination, is very important. However, people come and go from the forum for various reasons. I don't think it's necessarily linked to them remaining on the program. I think some people just get more out of the forum than others; some have more time on their hands; some need it more. 8)

You could be right to a degree. But I was referring to those who disappear and then come back like I did a year or so later for the second, third, or fourth time. Or just those who have disappeared and come back the time we have been here. I don't think of it as needing the board, but of being of service. What if there had been no one here when I got here because they didn't "need" the board to stay compliant? There is a wonderful prayer that we say in my 12 step program and part of it reads "and take away my difficulties so that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of thy power, thy will and thy way of life." That prayer can relate to the medifast way of life just as well as sobriety. But I don't need to tell YOU that!
