You are not alone - so many of us are re-starts! The great thing is that you're taking back control!

I know, I hate the first week back, too. I had lots of headaches.

I'm in Austin, another Texan! :)

I'm feeling a bit better today...it's amazing that after only 2 days I feel like i have more energy. I did mess up a bit last night, though. I ate a can of tuna (had my lean/green at lunch). i was just really needing something to chew. I guess it could have been worse...it could have been pizza!

I wonder....should I have had another shake instead of the Tuna?

Also....Where is the MINESTRONE????????????????

Hi Cindy,
Yes...a medi-meal would be better than just a portion of protein. You probably
didn't do any damage by having the protein though.

Sorry to say, the minestrone's been gone for about a year now...

Keep up the good work...:)

I'm on day 4 and 4 pounds down....i told myself i wouldn't weigh more than once a week, but...i lied. Anyway, things are getting much easier. I'm rarely hungry and have tons of energy already. I have to do this...I just have to.

WTG Cindy! It just gets easier as we go. The first few days have their moments but after you get passed those it's, for the most part, smooth sailing. Keep being compliant and the pounds have no where to go but off.

Keep up the good work!

I'm feeling really good right now. Yesterday I had a fasting blood sugar of 97 (woo hoo!!) and have lost 9, yes NINE, pounds. Last time I only lost 6.5 pounds the first week so I am so freakin' excited. I ate too much protein yesterday, but I think that works better for me than adding a shake (when i'm hungry) because of my blood sugars.

Anyway...Happy Monday ;)

Wow. Was that 9 in one week?? Geez, I'm envious of that!! I've never, NEVER lost that much in one week, even when I first started. Sigh.

That's great about your blood sugar, too. Do you take meds? Don't forget to check with your doc pretty regularly to see if they need to be adjusted.

Yep...9 pounds. I'm actually kind of shocked about it too. I weighed 3 times!

My doctor is working with me on the meds. I take two oral meds/day in addition to 2 insulin shots per day. I'm speaking with her every week to make sure that we adjust where we have to.

Don't be jealous, Robin....you are below goal..I am the one who is jealous :)

Ok....Day 11. I have struggled a bit over the last couple of days. I was waiting on my MF order to arrive and was using some leftover stuff from before, so my options were limited. I don't know why, but I was really, really hungry. Not so much my stomach, but my mouth was hungry. I really wanted to CHEW something. I think I need to re-evaluate my lean and greens and eat more chicken instead of tuna. I'm still having really good blood sugars so I am sure that this too will pass.

Has anyone tried the crab soup? Just curious.

Bummer about being hungry, but good job on getting through it. Hang on, and I'm sure it will pass. And be sure to have some pickles or celery or whatever if you need to munch.

Hi Cindy,

Thanks for visiting journal. Day 11 - you go girl. My mouth always wants to chew...I have packs of gum all over the place. I chew an awful lot of gum when I am on Medifast. It seems to help. As a matter of fact, I am chewing a piece right now and my mouth is actually getting tired. That's a good thing...LOL!!

I am so happy for you and your sugar levels. I have to go for a health assessment in a few weeks. My employer will lower our health insurance premiums if we go through the assessment. However, they don't base it on your numbers, they just want you to be aware of your numbers...so I am looking forward to it. Kind of like before MF and after MF. They will be checking for glucose levels, weights and cholesterol numbers.

Have a wonderful day!! :D
