I finally have a chance to sit down and begin my journal. I received my Medifast products Monday afternoon so my official start date was Tuesday, January 8 at 225.2. My goal weight is 165, so I have 60 lbs to lose. I am so excited!!! :D I have used Medifast before, and did well with it....but this time I'm going to see it through 'til the end!! :kool:

The first 3 days went well.....stayed in contact with Nancy (who is so encouraging) :yay: I did fight some head hunger issues and some actual hunger pangs but I took it one minute at a time during those times, and made it through.

My hubby is being alot more supportive this time around....I think it might have been because I was upfront with him about what I was going to do this time....(last time I didn't tell him until I already ordered  ) And we also had a conversation a couple of months ago where I told him that I know he loves me just the way I am (he constantly tells me I'm not fat) and I told him that I AM fat and him being in denial about it, doesn't help. In fact, for him to be truly supportive, I need him to help me make better choices. We started exercising together and he has become a lot more aware of the types of foods we were eating. It was his idea to totally eliminate soda at the beginning of the year (for our entire family!!) and he has stuck with it....and that makes me proud!!

Here's on to the weekend...which will be the time when I will face the most temptations, but I have a plan and plan to stick to it!!!!

it's wonderful that you have such a supportive husband (at least this time 'round :) ) It just makes this journey that much easier.

It's great to see you are so positive about this and that you have a supportive husband! A supportive family really makes all the difference I find.

Welcome! Just be careful not to overdo it on the exercise, if you weren't working out before and just started the program a week ago ...

It's been a full month.....

Postby tnanock » February 9th, 2008, 8:55 am

....I'm down over 11 lbs!!! (Not including the 3 lbs I lost before I started Medifast) I realize some folks lose that much in a week, but I have always been a slow loser. And I have to admit that up until this last week, I had not been very compliant  so I cannot complain.

But I really feel it has finally clicked for me!! I am in that fat-burning zone that I hear some many people talking about. I went out of town last night with a group from my church and we went out to eat. I drank sugar-free lemonade (instead of Dr. Pepper) ate a steak and salad. Tried to eat a little sugar free jello, but it had no taste. Everyone else was eating rolls, all kinds of desserts, etc., but I was not even tempted at any point to go off program. It felt so great!! :yay:

I came home to find my next month of Medifast had arrived and I'm so excited to try the different products I ordered this time.

I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I weigh less now than I have weighed in over 2 years and there's no stopping me now!! :yippee:

Kim, I'm glad you checked in and that you're doing so well. Congratulations on the great loss! Try not to compare your weight loss numbers with anyone else's because we are all going to do the program with differing results and in time tables.

I wish you the best as you continue to your goal.

hey kim, good to see you post again. It's good to know that the plan is working for you. You seem to have a good attitude about it, even if you haven't remained compliant. Just imagine what you can do with full compliance? Hang in there with the rest of us and keep up the good work!

Down another 2 lbs. :yippee: What's even more exciting is that I've lost nearly 3 1/2" from my waist. I'm seeing numbers I haven't seen in a long time.

This month has been so much better than the first month. :D I can really see myself reaching my goal weight and staying there.

Down 1.8 lbs this week!! That makes a total of 15 lbs since starting Medifast.....18 lbs since the beginning of the year.

This week was a little more of a struggle but I made it through it. Last night, after eating my lean and green, I was still hungry. I waited about an hour and had my last medifast meal of the day and was able to make it through the night.
