Is there any way to make baked chicken crispy?

Postby ascicles » June 14th, 2006, 7:46 am

I really like my chicken to be crispy, but without skin, it seems really hard. I just use standard boneless/skinless chicken breasts.

Is there anything I can do (legally) that would make it crispy??

Hey manly!! I have ground up the medifast crackers (the veggie ones) into a really fine powder, sprayed my breasts with ICBINB spray and shaken then in a baggie with the cracker crumbs. Kind of like shake n bake. It is good, and crispier than just plain baked chicken. Go to the store and look at a package of shake and bake and just follow the suggested cookin time. I don't have a package here, and it has been a while since I have done this. I don't remember the cookin temp or time.

I actually get excited when I become constipated because I know it is then legal to add a small amount of olive oil to the top of my chicken before cooking :) YUM

Otheriwse, just when I am done baking, I turn on the broiler and let it sit for another couple of minutes. The broiler will crisp the outside a little.

PS-- Ascicles- what does your name mean? Is that when icicles stick to your butt in the winter?

It doesn't really mean anything. I don't know where it came from, but I just started using it one day.

Okay, you guys are too much!!! :)

Seriously, I have tried baking and then broiling with a TEENY bit of olive oil and Mrs Dash Italian. Nice flavor! Also, have you ever tried rolling in dried onion flakes and then baking? I haven't but have heard good things about it!

Have a good one!

:)
