I have two, one on each shoulder. A orange tiger with blue eyes and a cartoon bear with a smirk on his face. That one I got back in my single days...hehe...ehem....
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Start Weight 326.7 ~ My short term goal will put me at 250!

Started June 19th 2008. First Mini Goal 76.7 pounds.

I have 4.

one on my ankle a tribal heart I hand drew with my sons name on it.

one on my right shoulder of a colorful butterfly

one of my right hip of a lion and unicorn (which I wish to have removed)

and one tribal around my belly button, (which I wish to have removed becuase it was 2 inches when I got it at size 12 and is now four inches at my size 20.)

I would like one on the back of my kneck that says "Eternal" but I have not found it in symbol form.

Well I have 4. One of them are two in one. It covers my whole entire top portion of my right thigh. Its a whole scene if you will. Its a parrot with a sun setting horizion in the back ground and mountains underneath (I know thats a lot going on) And now I hate it so much, I want to get it covered up or changed to something else, which will be hard cause its so big.
One a Tiger's face on my arm, and a purple tulip with tribal art on the top of my foot. Which is my favorite but also the most painful! I would like to get more added it to my foot though.
But my reward to myself after I loose the weight is the one I've always wanted of a black rose on my lower back!! I can't wait till that day comes, I am going the day I hit goal!!

I have one, it was a yahooo, I'm divorced trip to Vegas experience. It is a Sun Moon combo on my lower back..... Just recently heard that referred to as a "Tramp Stamp" lol I took offense to that one. I want to get one more of 2 dragon fly's intertwined with both my boys initials somehow on it.

I have 4 tattoos. I have Mickey Mouse the Magician on the inside of my left ankle and two dolphins around a heart on the outside of my right ankle, dolphins jumping out of the water in the center of my back and my favorite is a outline of a ladies jaw and nose with butterfly wings around her green eyes at the base of my neck. She is pretty big.

I'm working on a matching one with my brother to remember our father. We cannot seem to agree yet...

I don't have any. One of the conservative crowd. But I've always thought I'd like to get a celtic armband, but I was too self-conscious about my flabby arms. So now, if I can get my arms toned enough, I might just do that.

I have 6. I blame my 23 yr old son for getting me started/addicted! took him for 18 birthday present, found the cutest cat face graphic with big eyes. had it put on top of right foot. that was the start. since then, i have purchased flash from Pat Fish the "Queen" of Celtic tattoos and had a local artist do the work, (if you live in Santa Barbara, go see her! Her website is luckyfishart.) I have her celtic circle of intertwined cats, celtic ankleband, and her Lorraine dragons. Also have a celtic circle w/my intial in it and a wonderful portrait of my Longhair chihuahua mix dog. My present to myself when reaching goal will be a new tat. have not had any in a few years ;)
Going to restart Jun 2009, been gone since after surgery Oct06. Can't wait !

This has been a fun read.... Thanks to everyone for sharing! :)

I have a small 1 3/4" red rose with green leaves and black thorns above my left, um, what's the term... cupcake ;)

I got it in 1996 as a spur-of-the-moment act when a friend was getting his first and offered to spring for my first. I picked the red rose wall flash since my computer nickname in college was Red Rose, way back in the day (1989-1993), pre-Internet access even!

Yes, I am a total NERD. The truth comes out!

After a few tans over the years, my rose is now a faded pink. Not sure about getting it touched up. I kinda like the aged softness of it ;)

BTW, an AMAZING tattoo book of women -- a real gorgeous coffee-table volume -- is "The Illustrated Woman" with photographs by William DeMichele, 1992. Lots and lots of inspiration! And underneath each amazing photo are the first name of the woman, her city or country, and then the names of the artists.

My fantasy tattoo is a big backpiece of a Japanese-style red fox in a black circle. My mother's maiden name is Fox, and foxes have been a rather totemic symbol for both of us 8)

Dunno if I would ever get it, with that being such a commitment to a symbol, but maybe when I get to goal and stay there for a year...
