Summer Goal

Post your weight loss successes or failures here...:)

I too have a spreadsheet  ...and as of now it tells me an average of 4.2 pounds a week will allow me to make goal by August 1. The thought that it's even possible is so exciting I cannot express it in words!

My goal for the beginning of the summer though is to be solidly under 200 pounds....and by solidly under 200 pounds I mean that when that time of the month comes and I'm retaining some water I will still be under 200 pounds! So...we'll say 195 or less by the time summer hits. At this rate I know I can do it and I am very very excited to continue on this journey and see what happens!

Regardless, I know MF works and I'm here for the long haul even if things take longer than I'd like!

I found this and thought it would be good for our summer goal

If you hang your swimsuit
On the refrigerator door,
The goodies inside
Will be easier to ignore
I'm not where I wanna be but, thank God I'm not where I use to be!

Hmmm ... I've been wondering what my goal should be since this post first went up! I too have a handy dandy spreadsheet, but my losses have been rather sporadic lately, so I wasn't sure what to put, or what date to shoot for.
I think I'll follow Dayna's lead and go for Memorial Day ... 30 more pounds down to put me at 179. Whew, fingers crossed - gotta get a nice refreshing shake now that the dilemma is over.
Thanks for starting the summer challenge!

YEAH! Summer Challenge - count me in!

Postby BerkshireGrl » February 13th, 2006, 5:24 pm

Memorial Day weekend I'm going to a good friend's wedding in Maryland, so I'll mark that down as my summer goal too... well, Goal #1 anyway ;) I am NOT going to be wearing any size 18-20 dress, lemme tell ya!

I got my eye on a pretty blue sundress at Anthropologie... and I'm gunning for a size 10 or under. 170 pounds might do it :)

Memorial Day (May 29) Goal: 170

Birthday Goal (July 31): 145

Might be kinda tight to drop 3 pounds every week, but what the hey? Maybe I can psych my body into conforming to my whims.... muhaha!

Then perhaps my talented seamstress/costumer sister can trim down that nice dress for me after I lose some MORE pudge!

Summer.... CAN'T WAIT!

Summer Challenge

Postby ScottsMom » February 13th, 2006, 7:29 pm

Hey, Ya'll!
Good idea...challenge. I would like to be at my goal by Memorial Day. My husband's family is having a reunion in Branson on that weekend. I am sure there will be lots of swimming and such. YIKES!!! I would like to actually join in this time. It is embarrassing to have to come up with excuses to not go swimming. Last reunion I was 5 months pregnant, but this time I won't have an excuse. So, I need 25 pounds gone by Memorial Day. I see that this is not an uncommon goal with this group. We can do it!!! :goteam:

I just made a new goal for myself for the end of March (in FL that is close enough to summer) I have a pair of size 18 shorts that were not going on my large behind to save my life!!! Well I just put them on but they are really tight so my goal is to be comfortably in those shorts by the end of March! I can do it.

I love the idea of a summer goal! 8) I would love to be 200 by July 1st. That is 55 pounds so it may be a little ambitious. I am going to work hard to make it happen.
