Hope you are doing better, you sure have had a go of it lately.

Don't be too hard on yourself! You can do this and get rid of your extra weight. Sometimes it just takes a few mis-steps to get on track!

A-ha! I conquered a big thing today!!!!!!! I was at a workshop for work, and in the medical industry food is everywhere. They had donuts, bagels, cookies, bread, candy, and sweets of all sorts!!!!!!! They had cheese and all sorts of BAD things.

I DID NOT TOUCH A SINGLE THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I had my water, shakes, and diet coke and was just fine.

Hi All,

I wanted to take a few minutes and update you guys. On Monday my mom was in a small fender bender. She had a headache, but did not want to go to the doc. On Thursday I was on my way home from work and got a phone call that she had been rushed to the hospital because she was vomitting and had a severe headache at work. Her CT scan showed she was bleeding into her brain. I left with the family and drove all night to Chicago. She had emergency surgery on Friday to clip three aneurysms. One was very large and the other were small. Thank god for the car accident and for her co-workers that called the ambulance. She could have died if she did not get in exactly when she did! We have really had a rough week, she is doing well, but it is pretty scarry! The tests are mostly coming back good, she is awake and alert, knows us and is pretty with it. But, her arteries in her brain are pumping too hard and it is causing spasms. We are all cautiously optimistic, but still holding her breath. I have no doubt she is going to be just fine in time!

As for me, I am completely off plan. I have been so tired and wrecked that I am just eating. I really need to get back on plan, but am finding it difficult. Any positive thoughts or prayers for both myself and my mom would be very appreciated! I would have updated earlier, but this is the first time I have been at a computer!

Mom is doing great. She was moved out the ICU on Monday, and today she went HOME!!!!!!!! I cannot believe how well she has done. I take this as a sign from God that it is time for change.
