I'm still here, but this place is D-E-A-D! Just haven't been checking in as much as I used to. I am doing well, now on day 6 and no cheats. I think I just may be on a roll this time!

I just bought myself some new tennies myself. I had to spend 2 hours trying to find the right pair since I haven't purchased anything but sandals in over a year. My right foot has changed so much since my 5 surgeries. I won't even get in to it. Anyway, I am not certain that I am completely happy with the shoes I ended up with. GGGRRRRR! Anyway, walking is still a struggle since I have to teach my leg muscles to work with my new/used Achilles tendon. On top of that the weather has been MISERABLE the last few days. In the upper 90's and very humid, I feel like I have to push through the air just to move around. I just noticed Pam lives in Connecticut which is ironic since I have been contemplating moving north. I would much rather shovel snow than deal with this heat.

Bought a new (and more reliable bathroom scale) on Friday on the way to the fair. Weighed 326, took it out of the box this afternoon and weighed 322. Looks like I have finally gotten into my old (2007) groove again. Ain't stopping for NUTTIN this time.

Brenda, good for you for getting yourself in the medi-groove! Even though this site is very quiet, it is still an excellent spot to journal or vent. Best wishes to you!

Thanks again for the encouragement, Tawanda. Now that I have been on the program for this long, I shouldn't have a problem staying on. This is the longest track record for me since my very first time when I lost the 80 pounds. That was back in 2007 between ankle surgeries 1and 2, the only reason I stopped back then was because of the second surgery. I never thought that getting back on track would be so friggin hard - nearly impossible it seemed! Once I saw that I had gained every pound plus 5 more back I knew I had to do something, that started my resolve this time around. Then the invitation to the reunion came in the mail and put me over the edge. I think my lean and green was too much tonight (General Chang's Chicken from the frozen food department of Wally World) so I probably kicked myself outta fat burning stage, but I am not going to let that hinder me. Live and learn as they say right? I already drink a gallon of water a day, but if I need to add a few more ounces to wash out the carbs and MSG then so be it. What's a few more trips to the bathroom when I already go 20 times a day LOL. My biggest problem right now is a stupid nagging headache that has lasted for the better part of 2 weeks (off and on - mainly on). I know it isn't MF related (never EVER had it happen before). I used to get horrible migraines, but I haven't had one for so long that I don't even have the medication for them anymore. GGRRRR!!!

Thanks for stopping by Pam!! You really seem to be on a role this time and I am soooooo happy to see that. I know this has been a struggle for you as much as it has been for me. Deanna is doing well. She is taking classes to be a vet tech, spending time with her BF of 3 years and looking for another young horse to train. Since I moved off the farm I don't see her much at all - I hate that. Its about the only thing that I miss about living out there, well her and the horses. I am not used to the fact that she is an adult now and does need her mom right now (or at lease she doesn't think she does). My personality is such that I really do NEED to be needed. I don't feel whole right now. I am working on that part of me in counseling right now, but its a work in progress. I am still not working due to my 5th (and final - I hope) ankle surgery. Been seriously considering my future. Do I want to continue in Ohio? (not really) Should I start work on a Masters Degree? If so in what? I have considered law school, but I don't know.... I have also thought about social work/counseling and am feeling a very strong pull towards that right now. Well anyway, I am sure you will enjoy being back in the school and working with the students again after you get back into the swing of things. Sending you a PM too!

Very major headache has plagued me all week. Finally went to the doctor today and was given 2 shots, one in a spot very close to the base of my skull where he believes I have an inflamed nerve and one in the hip for pain. I was feeling better for a short while, but now am suffering again. Grrrrrr! Been on plan more than off, but I know I have made some mistakes in my L & G choices. I hate to waste food and I live alone so what I am going to do with all the off-program stuff in my freezer in beyond me. Still, I am not gorging myself on ice cream, chocolate and other various and sundry desserts so I consider myself heading in the right direction. Hoping for a little weekend getaway soon. I feel weird about need a vacation from my life of basically nothing. I don't work right now due to my ankle situation, I am not in school and I have no children in school so what in the world do I think I need a vacation from?
