OK, whats the deal on PB2?

I read somewhere 2 tbsp was an approved snack? How does it taste? Are there less carbs than regular PB? How do you use it? Is it worth the price?

I LOVE peanut butter cups! Actually I've never met a candy bar I didn't love! :lol:

I might be able to respond if I had any clue what PB2 was. I'm assuming it has something to do with Peanut Butter (1 Tsp allowed as a snack).
I'm out of the loop on this one.

Mike, PB2 is powdered peanut butter, with almost no fat in it. Nutrition Support has said that 2 TBSP of PB2 is approved as a snack, but only 1 TBSP of real peanut butter is ok as a snack.

It's pretty amazing I hear, do a search on the web for it - lots of people are raving over it. :)

Hi Mike,

It is a powdered peanut butter. I guess people are using it in the shakes, cookies and what ever else you could put peanut butter in.

Here is a blurb off the website. Bellplantation

Made with USA grown peanuts that are slow-roasted and pressed to remove fat. All natural with no additives. PB2 has the same consistency as full fat peanut butter with all of the natural roasted peanut flavor but with 75% less fat calories.

I was thinking of ordering some but wanted to see if antone else had tried it. Must be good as the shipping time is something like 4 weeks!

Oh, have mercy! Powdered lowfat peanut butter sounds like the Holy Grail to me. :shock:

Looked it up.
Bell Plantation website has it at $15.96 for 4 - 6.7 oz jars. They don't show any way to order just 1 jar.

Found it on ebay for $6 to $8 per jar plus shipping.

Mike, if you are a creamy peanut butter fan, this is heavenly. I heat up a chocolate bar for about 8 to 10 seconds in the microwave and then mix up 2 T. of PNB2 -- slather it on the bar and I've got a Reeces Peanut Butter taste alike.......

Oh yeah........I received some a few days ago and have already realized this needs to be a special treat for a snack I don't usually have a snack and have probably had one less than 10 times--thinking MF soy crisps and SF jello cups-- in the time that I've been on MF. I'm not so sure it was a good thing for me to find out how absolutely wonderful this tastes.

Try it, you'll like it....Tawanda does. ;) But then, yes, Tawanda will eat almost anything.................. :lol:

I've never heard of this! Sounds like a slope that's just too slippery for me! Sounds just like heaven but I don't think the DeDe Monster (think cookie monster with peanut butter instead of cookies) would stop at 2tblspns!) I'll be thinking about y-all though!

The things I walk past to get into the size 8's...boggles the mind!

Dede, this is what I've decided, too (slippery slope for me). I've decided to put it away until transition or maintanace. It is too tasty and too much temptation for me.

I have decided this might be too danderous for me right now! I would hate to buy it only to discover I had to have my Mom hide it at her house. Then she might find me lurking around in the dark of the night! ;)

Has anyone tried the flavor drops? I see they have a peanut butter flavor.

I have to say, I don't like it mixed with water and made into peanut butter. But a spoonful mixed in with a shake in a blender is heavenly. I also mix it into pudding or even apple-cinnamon oatmeal sometimes. Or now that I'm on maintenance, I dip apple slices in it on occasion instead of using real PB.

So for me, it's not a complete substitute, but it's great when you just need the PB flavor and not the creamy texture. A chocolate-PB shake is now one of my favorite things (but I make 'em with a cocoa packet instead of a shake packet, because of my longstanding hatred of the shakes).

Being the peanut butter fan that I am, I had to order some. I have to admit... I like it.

I mixed it in some Vanilla pudding... mmmm (count the PB as snack).

I may try it with a vanilla shake sometime. If medifast only did PB flavored oatmeal....;)
