meal scheduling

Postby Ct. Yankee » April 4th, 2006, 9:27 pm

Hi, I am just wondering how late in the evening that we should complete our 5-1 plan each day? With my new energy found in the MF plan, I find that certain nights are wakeful ones, which, in turn, leads to morning sleep-ins. Having a body clock which is programmed to having worked evenings and nights for 38 years doesn't help, either. I would appreciate any ideas or advice on scheduling meals that begin on some days between 10a-12n. What would be the best way to fit all the meals in, on days like that? Can we eat very occasional meals within an hour of each other in order to fit them in? Thanks, all Joan

You can eat as late as you need to, even right before bed. This isn't like other plans that have you stop eating early in the evening. When you do that, you're going 10, 11, even 12 hours without food and that's not good when you're already having so few calories.

I can give you an example of my schedule; I work nights, so I don't get up until 10 or 11 (OK, or 11:30 or noon some days).

11 a.m.: Oatmeal
2 o.m.: Chili or soup
4 p.m.: Bar or oatmeal
6:30 p.m.: Lean and green
9:30 p.m.: Oatmeal or cocoa
12:30 a.m.: Pudding

Oh, thank you so much! After second and third shifts for 38 years, the body more or less sets its own 'eat-sleep' schedule! I was very concerned about late night eating, and thanks so much for clearing that up for me. I thank you and my body thanks you!!!!! :D

Anytime. I've gotten to really love my late-night snack before bed. Just be careful and don't drink a lot of water with it, or you'll be up all night!!
