macaroni and cheese-NSV

My boyfriend is an athlete, and expetienced marathon runner, and is doing the LA Triathlon on sunday. I n the 2 years we have been together, he has done 11 marathons/triathlons/bike races, etc. and everytime I make him "marathon macaroni and cheese". It is all homemade, with added veggies and meats. He asked me to make it for him, and I made it today.

In the past, insted of tasting the sauce with my finger or 1 noodle, I would sit down with a bowl of noodles and sauce and evaluate it. Then I would change the sauce a little and do it all over again. Before I knew it, I would have eaten 3 or 4 bowls of Mac.

NOT TODAY!!!! I put 1 noodle in and tasted it, and the second taste, I used a piece of bell pepper. And, I don't even crave it.

Congrats on being able to pull that off, I don't think I have enough willpower to stop eating after I take one bite so this is why I have asked my wife to take it kind of easy while I am getting used to the diet so I can adjust.

Good job and best of luck to your boyfriend this weekend!
Come visit me over at Chub Hut!

Weigh to go! Mac and Cheese was my "final meal" before I started MF. I just love that stuff.

Congrats Allie!

Paulm, you will do great! Just get used to things and the carb desire will be gone. Eat carbs again and you will regret it! Do your best and your body will do the rest!

Allie..you may become my new hero!! Mac & Cheese~~Especially Baked is a major weakness of mine. I succumed to some this weekend while out of town and totally regretted it about an hour later(I was sick all night after that)

Anyone who can Cook it and have the power to not have a bowl or really even a major nibble has Super Powers IMHO!!
