A Love Note to Newbies Over 250#

Postby alpha femme » August 16th, 2007, 9:33 pm

hola! i used to weigh 400# and was still at 300# when i found this place. the benefit of needing to lose this much weight is that medifast really was made for you. i lost 100# in 9 months. i didn't do anything special-- just followed the plan.

100 pounds.

9 months.

you can do this. my life is so much easier already-- and i still have a long way to go. i would never push a plan that i didn't have faith in, and i rarely believe in stuff unless someone proves it to me. follow the guidelines and understand that at your weight, this will work-- and it will work quickly.

if you get munchie, drink a glass of water before you even think about eating. this is all about breaking bad habits, so if you slip, don't torture yourself and say, "i might as well binge since i blew it!" brush it off, and keep your eyes on the prize--

that's you.

when i'm out in the world, no one associates me with being fat anymore, and that has been the hardest change to deal with... especially when i see people that are so heavy that it breaks my heart. you're here. stay here. this is the best tool i've seen for the treatment of obesity. it's like a gastric bypass in a shaker.

if you don't believe me, look at my pics. i'm half the girl i used to be-- but twice the individual. it's hard to look at the scale and see numbers that look impossible to conquer, but you can. i just wanted you to know that.

I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this. As you know, I was in a similar situation and went the gastric bypass way because I didn't know about this program. I then gained back 50 lbs after losing 160.
I loved what you said about it being the bypass in a shaker jar... perfect analogy.

Again, thank you again... well said... and great going.

Thanks for sharing. I needed to read that this morning. Not that I am thinking about quitting, just needed the reinforcement.

Thank you for writing so candidly about your weight loss path...Yes, I needed to hear it and it makes perfect sense...Wow..100lbs. in 9 months is really super...Perhaps I can do it too?? I hope so...Unfortunately, all of us who still need to lose the 100lbs, have to deal with those insincere people out there that don't tolerate "plus sizes"... I will persevere and thank you for the honesty...

You have inspired me !
