Uhhm, yeah, what Katie said!!! I've been saying that we should just post here as it would make it so much easier anyway. Sheesh - - I mean, it's still all about me, right? :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

But now that I think about it, Crazy OC hasn't been by her own journal in a bit and she didn't post at roll call.....Hmmmm, I'm gonna have to hunt her down :whip: and make sure she's still OP and not out there suckin down :bib: the red kool-aid and mac-n-cheese :) :roflmao: :roflmao:

you guys all know i truly appreciate a good rant!!!!! yes SQ, i'm still here, still OP and still waiting on the scale fairy. After i post here, i am going to post roll call. I know, i know but better late than never. :D oksooner, i know EXACTLY what you mean. IMO, A size 0 should be saved for infants or at least no one too much over 5' tall. I mean really, 5'10" 105lbs, size 4. THAT'S too small. Then again maybe i have a distorted view of what healthy is. I think my head weighs 105lbs so i guess we better get ready to attach 2 toes to it and maybe i can walk. I get upset when i hear these runway models talk about they gained weight (~ 3lbs) and they are devastated! These designers need to get a clue and realize that stuff is not NORMAL, nor are their clothes in sizes 00. Yes, that's right, 00. Have you actually seen a size 00 pair of jeans? They are ridiculous and would probably button around my upper arm. It's such a shame what society is doing to our younger generation's mind. Their psyche and self esteem are being destroyed. It seems the fashion industry is waaaaaayyyy bigger than us and it gets more difficult daily to fight it. We just have to instill health into our own and take it from there. Ok, off my soapbox i step.

Last week wasn't a great week, -1.8# I was shooting for at least 2# but apparently, i missed the mark. I have been struggling with the scale but not the plan so IT IS WHAT IT IS. I've been focusing more on the lifestyle change and trying to accept that i just might not loose 3# per week this time around. I would rather not set that as a weekly goal. This way, i avoid disappointment and discouraging thoughts. I'm still weighing myself daily and watch the scale creep downward and i am just thankful that at the end of the week, i have been showing a loss. So, now that i think about it, last week WAS a great week. I was compliant and i lost. Can't ask for too much more than that! I hope you ladies are all having a great week now. Off to roll call i go!

:exercise: Yippeee, you're still OP!!! :exercise: I was getting a little worried but I'm sooooooooo glad to hear you've just been busy - - well, I hate that you're busy but you know what I mean!!!

1.8 is a respectable loss and I'm glad you ended the week happy with that loss!! I know we all want big losses every week but sometimes our bodies just wont cooperate - - this week, my body is one of those :x ! :x <sigh>

Glad to see you back - dont be a stranger :) It's already like TOTALLY DEAD on this forum!!!!!!!

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FRIGGIN KIDDING ME!!!!! a gain of .6?????? WHAT?????? Ok, so i have been having problems with small or no losses so i decided to focus (or at least try) on how clothing fits. Ok, next step was to stop weighing every day. I figured if i stayed compliant, there is nothing i can do about the scale anyway so why step on it? WELLLLLLLLL, I did great with no weighing (thursday was my last recorded weight). Well lo and behold, i get up this morning ready to void my body of liquids and step on the scale. I was so happy to finally be able to see the scale number after a few days and i figured i would have lost 2lbs (maybe a little less). Either way, i was feeling good about it. Woohoo, pressing on the scale and waiting for that 0.0 to pop up almost seemed like an eternity. Up i stepped, standing completely still and level, counted to 3 and looked down...WHAT???? WTH???? Nah, we gotta do this again because SOMETHING isn't right. Once again, repeated the same steps with the SAME results. Ok, third time's a charm so now i am checking to make sure the scale isn't wobbly because i had to move it to wash the bathroom floor last night you know... Nope, not wobbly but i better pick it up and move it slightly JUST IN CASE, besides, something HAD to be wrong. So, stepping on for a THIRD time now. At this point, I wanna cry but before i let the tears form i want to make sure that the emotion is justified. But wait a minute, maybe if i cry a little bit now, it will remove MORE water from my body and the third weigh-in will be what it's supposed to be. Needless to say, there were no tears and the third weight was what it was supposed to be which was .6 MORE than last sunday. I know i said i was going to not feel disappointment or discouragement but THAT statement was speaking about small losses. This was a friggin gain! Does the BS ever stop? I mean what is going on here? I briefly thought about trying the all shake thing with katie but then decided against it because i really need that L&G to get me through sometimes and it gives me the opportunity to continue learning to make smart choices and add variety. Yeah, variety...how much variety is there in grilled chicken over romaine or grilled chicken over spring mix? LMBO!!! Actually, my L&G does vary, but lots of times, it's a salad and chicken. Anyway, i am getting sidetracked here. So, at this point, i don't know what to do and honestly i don't really care. Although i am disappointed in the gain, i am proud of myself that I remained compliant and am making the concious choice to continue to do so. I was slightly discouraged this morning but came downstairs and had my shake, a cup of coffee and 25 oz. of water...it was just routine, wasn't tempted to have anything else. I don't know what the problem is and don't know if i will ever figure it out. I used to think that it was my sandbox issues but since i ALWAYS have sandbox issues, that shouldn't matter much anymore. So ladies, it is what it is. If you have read this far, i appreciate the fact that you care enough to hear me out completely. If you quickly skimmed through, not quite getting the whole story, i still appreciate that you stopped by and started reading. Thanks for listening and i hope EVERYONE has a great week.

Oh yeah, i am STILL going to try not weighing this week  Actually, i might weigh on wednesday because i really HATE the way my ssoftware looks with no updates

I feel for you on the darn .6 gain!!! Not fair and not allowed (no one told your scale that yet, I bet---well, give it fair warning right now--not allowed to show a gain when you are on program!).

Keep your focus. Don't let this derail you. You *know* that the program works and that our bodies will release the weight sooner or later so long as we don't go off program and begin eating too much.

Next week will be an awesome weigh in for you! (get a sledge hammer and set it beside the scale, just in case...... ;) )

Maybe the cure is stop stepping on the scale for a while. You are keeping with the routine and I am sure you feel better and the clothing fits better, no? Anyway, hope your week goes well and you keep on going with what works for you. Have a great day!!

So, Chickey, how'd your week go? Is your scale still in working order or did you throw it out the window?!? :) I'm hoping you had a great week! My week was OK -- I've had better -- but I've had worse ones too!

I did notice after dressing for Church this morning that my 14 slacks are just toooooo baggy now!! The 12's I have I can't wear yet cuz they are a different brand and cut different. So I'm going to have to make-do for a few weeks till I get a bit more weight off. Before I know it, I wont be able to wear even the 12's ;) Can't wait till then!!!

I hope all is well! Check in soon, k?

Hugs!

CONGRATS on the three pounds this week!! I'm sooo glad to see that our scales are back to being nice! I hope they stay that way!! I'm 24 pounds away from the wedding goal -- I CAN DO THAT!!! Of course, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for even more but 24 pounds will get me to the wedding goal and that will totally rock!

Gonna pretty much keep this short and sweet (i think), because there really isn't a whole lot to report :D As you know i lost 3lbs this week! :cleader: The scale decided to be my friend for the FIRST time in a loooong time. I have been doing great with staying off the scale. I've decided to weigh ONLY on wednesdays and sundays. I'm to the point where i don't even have to drink water before getting out of bed (to force myself to avoid the scale). I just get up and move on with my day. I keep saying to myself as long as i am compliant, i can't do anything about the scale numbers anyway (yes, i've said this before, many times). This time, i think the scale fairy said "stop watching me so i can WORK!". So i left her alone to do her thing and SHE DID IT! Now, on to another compliant week! Have a great one everyone!
