keeping a weight log

Postby Nite Izes » April 4th, 2004, 3:26 am

So a week has passed and I lost 10 pounds, without feeling tired, stressed or any type of exhaustion.

One of the things that I did was create a log to enter my weight and losses. I am also keeping tabs on my calorie intake to be sure I am eating right and not overdoing it per meal since I do eat light meals and drink 1 protein powder supplement with milk at night. I am still losing weight with all this. I do not want to depend entirely on a "liquid" diet.

I have had success with Medifast before and as I wrote in a prior thread, was abled to keep the weight under control for 9 years until my illness. As a person starting over that needs to lose ~ 150 pounds, I just wanted to share this little tip about keeping a log of your weight and losses and don't let the weight bring you down if the loss is too little. Just remember, all you got is time and like anything else the best things are not rushed, especially weightloss.

And most importantly, drink a lot of water (~64oz), your body needs it and does kill the hunger. :cleader:

people treating you differently

Postby Guest » April 4th, 2004, 8:28 pm

I have a million dollar question. How have all you successful losers adapt to people treating you differently? I mean better. It has been my experience with my weight gain people treat you like crapola. I am just speaking for my self. That is including family too. Do you forgive them and pretend like it never happened or do you hold a grudge? Because me personally see me being a real you know what after my weight loss. I have even been turned down by jobs because of my weight. That is just going to far. :?

Nite Ize:

Way to go on your loss. That's a good amount of weight to lose in just a week. And good for you for finding a way to stay with MF while still losing weight. That's what we all have to do...find a way to make the program work for us so that we can become healthy and achieve our goals. Keep the posts coming!

Just bumping this post up to mention that we've added a weight log to MMT services. You must have MS Excel to use it.
You can find it here:

MMT Daily Journal

Thanks Unca for the excel spreadsheet. It is great when you need to keep tabs while away from the board. I have a spreadsheet that I made, but not as detailed as yours. This will come in handy for me and many here. I also like that there is an insert for your daily water intake, very very important part for weight loss and prevent dehydration.

THANK YOU for the spreadsheet, Unca. This really appeals to my innate love of organization.

Nite - I like how you did your stats (for a number of reasons). How did you do that little checkmark?

Go to your startup and find where you have character map (the icon looks like a dice) or

click where you see run
type in charmap
Once it shows the character map table
on top where you see fonts
go down until you see wingdings
on the bottom of the chart you will see a box with a checkmark icon
Click on that icon
click select
click copy

then where ever you want to use this at
click your mouse where you want this icon to be placed at
go to your toolbar on top
click on Edit
click on paste
and the checkmark will appear

Unca, I noticed the sum function for "lbs lost" gives incorrect tally. I tried to fix the calculation, but since it is protect, please fix it.

it show be

=SUM(B7-B136)
(well that is what I would use)

Thanks for the BMI chart, I am almost close to "Chunky" as I see I am in "Serious Warning!"

Hi Nite,
The "Lbs. Lost" is calculated from cell (S3). You have to enter your starting weight there (Page Right once) then you'll see the correct "Lbs. Lost" reflected on the main page.

Thanks for checking it out,
Unca

Nite,
That's why I put the help sheet opening on default. I figured that might cause some probs...:)

You might want to redownload a new version. I fixed a bug with the results showing in a negative number.

Thank you for the tip on copying the checkmark. I hope you don't mind that I copied you & added them to my signature.
You know, "they" say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Thanks again,
