A customer of mine came into the salon yesterday and showed me the "authentic" Louis Viutton bag she just got, for get this....2 BUCKS!!! Why cant I ever find deals like that when I go to Goodwill?Anyway, it is nice to meet you. You will love this program. :-P

Welcome, quotidianlight!!!

I am a nurse, so usually I'm in scrubs, but recently I was on the job search/interview trek. I had two really nice business suits from my previous life and had them altered a few times. It can only be done a couple of times before the clothes start to look funny. The last alteration I had done, the side pockets were way back on the back of my hips. The tailor thought I was crazy for letting him do this but I knew I would only be wearing these a couple of times and the jacket completely covered the snafu. From the front, I looked like a million bucks!!!

Best of luck to you!!!

Welcome! I'm new too and just as excited as you - look forward to loosing together.

I think I can answer your suit questions. In my field I have to wear suits almost daily and just like you've I've had problems w/ loss...gain...will my clothes fit worries. You CAN alter your suites more than once BUT it's not cheap to alter a suit - especially pants. Once you start loosing a lot you can't just take in the waist anymore...you have to take in the crotch so it doesn't look like you have well you know what in your pants. This can get pricey. If you have a $50 suit after one alteration it's not worth it to do a second. If you have a $500 suit it's a different story.

Bottom line - Yes you can alter and I sure hope you have to alter a lot :)

Thanks, I have one suit that was extremely expensive plus it was a gift so I really want to make sure I can keep it. Luckily it is a skirt. My other suits... I can do basic waists on my own but they are going to need to go in within another month. I had a tough time with bars setting me off and have to start all over again tomorrow. I'm not buying any bars for me for a loooong time (plus being on my cycle wasn't helping bars+cycle=two day binge). I did a good thing though, I kept forgetting which meal I was on so I separated up a weeks worth of brown bags with 6 meals each and stapled the top so each one is a little different and I won't know which one I'm getting. I think it was cool.

Welcome quotidianlight!!! That is a great idea of separating your daily meals into individual bags - that will definitely help you for sure. Yes, the bars are SOOOOO good and I need to use restraint when I am having "one of those days" as well. But luckily I only take one with me to work so there is no chance of eating more when I get really stressed.

You already got a lot of good advice on your clothing problem - so all I will say is welcome and we are glad to have you here with all of us losers!!! :)
