Well I had my first official weigh in this afternoon, and despite all my obstacles this weekend, I did pretty good! I lost 7 lbs! That's the most weight I've ever lost that quickly; I am really amazed. I am happy with my week 1 results and feel pretty good going into week 2. Here's hoping for more success.

Its a great, and healthy program. We all just wish that more people would listen.

Halloween Candy, you are the bain of my existence right now! I was shopping today and decided to buy before they started running out of the good stuff, and so at this very moment, not more than a few feet from me, are bags and bags and bags of some of my very favorite treats. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, and we always hand out candy, but this year it will be a mixed bag for me (no pun intended).

Does anyone else find Halloween a tempting time? Those with kids of trick or treating age?

Well since we live about a mile off the road in the country we don't get trick or treaters. If we did, I would buy my least favorite candy to pass out, I mean the stuff I just can't stand, like candy corn or grape bubble gum. That way I wouldn't be tempted to eat any of it.

I can honestly say this: I am not a fan of any holiday that has special treats or cooking (I tend to over indulge... :x  ). That being said, I will not be handing out candy at our house, I will go over to our friends and sit on their porch and help give out their candy. While I am doing that, DH and DD are going trick or treating with their kids and then giving the candy back to them. (DD will be 9 months old, she doesn't need candy, and neither do I... :x ) That way DD has the fun of going out, but we don't end up with candy... :D

I'm having a hard day today. I miss food. It's not helping that my husband cooked a big spaghetti dinner and the whole house smells really good. Anyway, I have been having obsessive thoughts of food all day, even before the cooking. I'm having a hard time of it today. :(

Sometimes being around food and people that can eat it is difficult. Just try to keep your eye on that prize! Look at what you have accomplished so far. Don't give up now - it really does get easier from here.

It's happening again. I was doing ok most of the day today, then BAM all of the sudden this evening I started having evil food thoughts again. I started having the worst kind of thoughts--like I could go out on Monday while dh is at work (I stay at home) and go on a total binge at the grocery store, come home, have a total eating binge on all my favorite comfort foods, and no one would know but me. It wasn't helping today while dh was eating Pringles in front of me!! Grrrr. That's about when all the intrusive food thoughts started too.

I'm trying to think of the goal, I really really am. But my scale hasn't moved in two days now and that's a little frustrating since I'm 100% not cheating at all (despite all my thoughts).

I wonder if it's going to be like this the whole time I'm on this program or if this obsession with food I can't have will eventually stop (God I hope so!!!).

I feel like I'm failing for even having these thoughts even though I haven't even come close to acting on them!
