Hi folks,

I have to admit I'm better at chatting than I am at the message board thing - I sometimes post things on the board and then forget to check them later in the day. So if it's not too presumptious, I set up an IRC chat room. You can download an IRC client (fancy name for software) from here:

Just install it, run it, and join #MMT. When using it for the first time, the program is going to ask you for your real email and name, just put in fake info in those boxes, and fill in your board nickname/handle/username in the nickname box.

I'll keep the channel open most of the day, even if I'm away from the computer.

If there's already a chat program set up for members of this board and I'm too stupid to find it, please let me know! Otherwise, you're more than welcome to drop by and chat in real time

Sorry, I forgot to add: if you can't find the chat room, try changing servers. The server the room is in is: irc.webchat.org (7000)

Serendipity mentioned that it's easier to chat if we can do it once a week at a set time. So what's a good time for everyone? I'm thinking sometime during the weekend (like Sunday nights) or early in the week, to chase away the Monday blues Whaddya think?

How about Sunday evening, say around 8:00 eastern? I'm usually home that evening, winding down and gearing up for work the next day. Works for me, anyone else have a preference?
