Good morning all! Mickey and Donna, thanks for stopping by. Your support is appreciated.

My weight loss has slowed down the past few weeks due to all this stress (I hope). I did lose 1.4 this week though which put me right at 30 pounds - finally! You know I already have people telling me I have lost enough weight! Ha. Most of them just don't want to see me become thin again because they don't want to go through the process themselves. At least that is what I tell myself.

I had to see my doctor on Thursday and when the nurse took my BP she said "Oh My! That is excellent! You are back to your healthy BP. What did you do?" I just stood up and took off my (baggy) jacket. Then she really flipped out and asked me how much I had lost. I thoroughly enjoyed that moment. :D

Work still sucks, my sister is still sick and now I have a possible biopsy hanging over my own head but I am hanging in there and losing slowly but surely.

I am working on conquering my scale obsession and only weighing once a week. I weighed an extra time this week on Thursday to check the accuracy of my scale with my doctor's but will go back to once a week. It is kind of freeing actually.

Congratulations on the 30# loss and new club.

I'm sorry to read that there is so many stressful things happening in your life. I hope the biopsy results will be fine, that your sister will be okay and that the job stresses work out soon.

Thanks Biki and Tawanda! I am anxious now to lose 7.5 more pounds so I can be halfway to goal. :D

T - I don't know yet if I will have to have the biopsy. My primary physician says yes but is turning me over to a specialist so I'm hoping they say it isn't necessary. I will see them tomorrow.

Today was busy but laid back. I did my shopping and then took a bunch of size 14 and 16 clothes to Goodwill. I am happily wearing nothing but 12s and an occasional generous 10 in pants and jeans now so I am done with those larger sizes! I do still have some jackets that are 12/14 or "L" and they are baggy but I can still wear them. They are mostly fall jackets so once it gets cold enough for my sweaters the jackets are off to Goodwill too. :D Pajamas are another story! I am having a hard time parting with my favorite lavender set because they are soft, warm and comfy-cuddly. When I bought them I got XL so they would still be long enough if they shrunk (why doesn't everyone make pjs in tall sizes?) so they are really big on me now and falling down unless I cinch the waist up tight. My others are loose too but I won't have as hard a time letting them go.

Hey Biki - I'm glad I'm not alone in that. Strange how I get so attached to pjs but softness is important to me. When I am shopping I care as much how the fabric feels as how it looks.

JCPenney sells tall flannel pajamas if you like the regular old 'man' style of pajamas (button front top and elastic waist/drawstring waist also bottoms). Plenty long enough and very reasonable..... they are on sale right now online if those will fit the bill of what you like.

Hi Linda, Congratulations on the 30 lb. club! :cleader:

I just packed up a bunch of clothes, last week, to take to the Salvation Army and I too hated getting rid of some of my pj's. But......a new JC Penney catalog came in the mail and they do have some cute, warm pj's in there. You should check them out.

Keep us posted on your dr. appt.

Thanks for stopping by Tawanda, Donna and Biki!

I did have to have the biopsy yesterday and my oh my the pain woke me up at 3:30 this morning. I took a pain killer and went to bed at 8:30 last night hoping to sleep in but nooooo!

The biopsy is on the underside of my foot and it is for melanoma. I have had this biopsy before, 20 years ago. Last time it was not melanoma but the pigmented lesion had atypical cells. For that reason I was told if anything like that ever showed up on the bottom of my feet or my palms again I had to have it removed and biopsied which is why I went to have this checked out. This morning I am wishing I didn't and I am sure it is all fine. I can't really believe it is anything other than what I had last time.

All my siblings got the Spanish skin from my dad but I got the English/Irish skin from my mom and I have most of the risk factors for melanoma so they just never let up on me about protecting my skin. Anyway, that's the story.

I was feeling sorry for myself last night and really, really wanted some chocolate. If I hadn't been crippled I might have gone to the store but I couldn't. Then amazingly, I fixed dinner and ate and the chocolate cravings went away. Duh! I told myself I would have a MF bar later if I still wanted chocolate but I didn't so it worked out.

Time for another cup of coffee. Then I will see if Biki is up. I'm sure no one else is at this @#$%^ hour!
