Hello from California!

Postby fuyu » April 20th, 2006, 12:24 pm

Hi!

I've been a lurker on this forum since my first week on medifast, and I've gotten a lot of tips, and some encouragement reading your stories not to mention since I was just beginning medifast it was nice to read there were people that had the same questions as I did. I learned a lot from you all, and I thank you for that!

I'm 27 years old, a housewife, mom and student living in San Jose California. I started Medifast on the 6th of this month. I started out at 171lbs. It's now my 3rd week, and I need some encouragement because my weight loss has become VERY slow this week. I'm sure that I'm following the plan correctly. I even drink more than 64 ounces of water a day. I've been the around same weight for 3 days now, and my weight was actually a pound heavier yesterday. I weigh myself first thing in the morning before I take a shower, or eat or drink anything.

Well anyway.. that's my introduction.. and I hope to get to know all of you as well! Thanks for reading!

Hey chickie you must be having the same crappy 3rd week as Tiolazz and me hehhe. I really think that this is when you body is adjusting to all of this and it goes what the hell hehe. No doc here but since now that is 3 of us I would say possibly that might be why. Just keep on trucking and do rollcall on Sunday and I bet that all of us will be down by then guys :)

Oh man, you don't know how how happy I am to find someone around my age that's on this diet too!! I was on another forum trying to get support and everyone was in their 40's and 50's and made me feel kind of stupid.

Thanks for the reply!! I'm happy I don't have to go through this alone!

I think you already got a wonderful response and I believe that around week three my weight loss was a little lower so maybe it is just the time our body adjusts.

It is great to have you here with us. The support here is unbeatable

Well Fuyu,

I am just one of those "old women" on this diet...

But once I was 27, does that count. LOL

Welcome to the forum, and lots of us seem to be having a slow week this week, you would think we all met up for happy hour last weekend or something...

Look forward to learning more about you and seeing some pics...

Terri (old Terri) LOL

Yes, while they are really really old, 40's and 50's tend to be really really smart! I can tell you this from experience. I'm 49!

Welcome to the forum, fuyu. I think you'll find that here, we all get along pretty well, regardless of age.

Ohhhh noooo! Tiolazz!! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it in that way!!

I didn't think of anyone as being old. I just felt out of place since I seemed to be the only person under 30 in that forum! That's what I meant by that. I'm SO VERY sorry if I offended you with my words!

I'm sorry Jo, there appears to be a misunderstanding, or I didn't make my point clear. I didn't meant to make anyone feel offended by my words. I know that I can learn a lot from those who are older than I am, but in my previous post I said:

I meant to say that the forum that I was a part of made me feel out of place becuase I was the only one under 30. That's all that I meant by it, and I'm sorry if what I've said offended anyone.

Whoa, fuyu! It's ok. .....We're just kidding ya! No offence taken at all. Don't think another thing about it, ok?

And who knows?? :you: might teach me a thing or two. There have been a few very wise X-gen's on this board.

Welcome, Fuyu. As one of the "oldies", I don't think anyone on this board took it the wrong way. We are just joking with you. I knew what you meant and was just amused at the wording. Keep smiling and joking with us! LOL.
