Gritty Tomato Soup

Is there anything that can be done or added to the tomato soup to make it less gritty and more tasteful??

Heavy cream.

Obviously I'm kidding. I've never been a fan of the tomato soup but some people say they make their meals thicker by using less water - that might help?

Take some of the cold water and mix it with the powder to make a paste. Then slowly add the hot water in and mix it as you go. Hot water makes lumps worse. You can't really remove lumps once you mix dry powder to hot water. If you are doing it on the stove, do it the same way. Whisks are great things. Any of the cream soups will be better that way.

As for flavor, I add splenda and maybe basil. It tastes better if there is some kind of sweet to balance the acid of the tomato. Try less water, too, and it will be more like a creamy soup and less like red water. I don't mind the more runny kind. You can also have it with white cheddar soy crisps. That tastes good. Believe it or not, a little soy sauce is good, too.

With cream of broccoli, I add Molly McCheese. I actually like that one best.
Don't really care as long as everything's better than yesterday was...
