Granola Crunch

Postby loriannk » July 11th, 2007, 1:48 pm

I think I posted this before or someone else did but I have been eating it a lot and decided to take a picture and repost.

This is perfect for when you are on the go or for me when I am at working sitting at my desk and it is time to eat but not my break time.

What you need:

1 packet of MF Oatmeal ( I use Apple Cinnamon but any flavor would work)

1 spenda packet

pinch of baking powder

any spices you like. I use a few drops of Grandma's Apple Pie Drops of Capella drops - (www dot capellacoffee dot com) They have so many flavors the possibilities are endless.

Just enough water to make the batter stick together. You want it very thick and as dry as possible but so it still sticks together.

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT SPLENDA PACKET.

Pinch small pieces of the thick batter and put on a pam sprayed baking pan. (I use my toaster oven)

Sprinkle Splenda packet over the batter pieces.

Bake at about 400 for 8 min or so and then take out and turn pieces over. Bake more until brown and crispy.

Hope someone else likes this fast easy on the go meal as much as I do.

Yes, this is pretty good. I have been making this for a while and it is good to sneak when you don't have the time. I make this and the cookies for when I have to eat around 10 or so and I can eat it between bells standing at the classroom door. A few kids steal some of it from me on the way in and even they like it, so, that should be a good review!
Don't really care as long as everything's better than yesterday was...

My recipe

Postby SPMUSTANG » November 26th, 2007, 11:01 am

I may have been the one to post this recipe originally. I like to spray the little lumps lightly with Pam. It makes them crunch up a bit more. If you want it super super crunchy (like that certain health nut cereal) stir and bake a number of times until it's dry. I really like it when it is not totally hard and is still nice and warm. I also use SF syrup as part of the liquid. I LOVE this stuff! It really helps take care of the need to eat.
