Gonna be Brave...

Postby aquarianskye » October 10th, 2007, 1:47 pm

Here goes nothing...My before pic is probably at my heaviest 285#. First one is down to 230#. Be nice. Need to find a new do. Just haven't been brave enough to try something different.

Hopefully I'll get some great pictures when my parent's come to visit--23 days away. My hub doesn't like cameras or being told, NO GET CLOSER.

LOOKING GREAT!!! You are doing so well! If you aren't sure about your hair maybe one of your rewards should be a "whole new you" kind of make over. I think that would be so fun to just let someone go crazy with hair, makeup, clothes. There is a website where you can put in your picture and "try on" different hair styles and colors. Pretty fun to just play.

Congratulations on doing so well!

Wow what a difference! :D Look at your jaw line!?!?!! Awesome! :D

As for the hair. :scratchhead: I am chicken to do much with mine too. So, I suggest trying long thin bangs perhaps. Then if you decide you don't like them today, you can just pin them up and leave the rest of you hair down and that looks cute. If you don't like them at all, you can grow them out and in no time they will fit behind your ear. So, no big comminment but big change in framing of face. Just a suggestion.

Your 230 looks great! Some people just carry their weight better than others. And I can't believe that Sojo didn't notice that even at your heaviest you had clavicle action! So you are going to be foxy really soon!!!

I totally went wild at the salon after starting Medifast. Instead of just keeping my hair longer and shoulder length (see Studio before hair) first I went in with Marilyn Monroe Pics and got that done. Next time I brought in young Liz Taylor pics. (I hated it-that's when I switched stylists. My new guy worked the chair next to my stylist so I loved his work.) Then I really got crazy and brought in pictures of Victoria Beckham and added purple! For some reason losing even small amounts of weight gave me an emerging out of a cacoon feeling and I embraced the change and had fun with it. The woman who introduced me to my husband who I have known since I was 21 saw my purple hair and said "How old are you?" And I just said, hey-I have always wanted purple hair so now I have it! I have calmed down now and just want a subdued version of the Posh style in my natural color.

Thanks for the kind words ladies. Obviously this was a huge thing for me. I've been doing this since Feb and am just now posting some pics. I didn't do REAL before pics when I started MF because I didn't want to have to show another failed attempt to lose weight. The pic in the blue and white shirt was taken at a b-day party for my neice in the summer of 06. Don't know if you can tell but I'm sitting cause I was toooo lazy to do much else. I can't believe how great I feel while I'm losing.

And Biki, I am one of those FAT people who carry their weight well. That's why my goal for now is to get to 170. I will really have to analyze how I feel/look when I get there to see if it would be a possibility for me to get any smaller. MF makes it so easy but I don't want to have to be 'on plan' for the rest of my life. At some point I'd like to be in maint. land with the rest of the skinnies! Even if I am heavier than them.

Awesome Gina, I guess I didn't realize that! I had to recommit to doing this. I had dropped about 25# from Feb to May and kept 20# off while going 'back to my normal' eating habbits. I 'faked' mfing most of the summer with a few days on and then a few off. I decided when my kids went back to school (8/27) that it was ME time. I always seem to be one of those that has to try things a few times. It just never sticks the first time :D . I have to continually say that I am a work in progress!
