Long day..

Postby Ginabobina1969 » October 8th, 2007, 4:18 pm

I KNOW JO HOW ABOUT THOSE STEELERS!!!! WOOOOOT!!! How in the world did you get tickets? I am so clueless about purchasing tickets that I just tried to go onto ticketmaster about two weeks ago to see about getting hubby some for his birthday...$26-56 I can maybe swing but of course their sold out.....and trying to buy them from "fans" or anyone online...wayyyyy too much money for this gal. :| I was also one of those mothers who mistakenly thought there was a chance in hell of getting Hannah Montana concert tickets for my daughter..HA!
Btw, I have to be careful to watch only parts of the game..I get so caught up screaming that if I watch the whole thing I have a sore throat by the time the game is over and sometimes lose my voice.. lol

Today has been a really long day, Had my son tested for Allergies and thankfully he only tested positive for a few...dust mites, flies, cockroaches(EW!) anyway, all the buggy ones he had reactions too. So, Singulair, claritin, nasonex and albuterol(when needed) are now part of his daily routine and they want me to purchase the handy dandy dust mite resistant mattress covers/pillowcase covers. $$$$$$ :x My daughter will be tested in a few weeks...she has asthma and has been pretty much sick since school started this year with one thing or another..sigh.

I feel just sorta like all the energy has been zapped outta me. We have really good insurance but still..copays, copays, copays add up....I am the only one in the house Not on a daily presciption medication, hubby is on at least 4 that i can think of and Hannah is on 4 as well I believe. Looking at the total of all the copays for the primary care plus the specialist plus the meds copay...just makes me nauseous.

Sheesh, I am not sure where all that came from except I guess it needed out and I know if I complain about it to my mom she feels like I'm hinting for her to help...(shes a "fixer")which makes me feel bad so just bottle it up and stress. So sorry an thanks for letting me get that crap out..lol

I was hoping for that extra pound gone today but alas, the scale flirted with me but did not give in.
the dial did dip down but wouldnt stay parked there..sorta bounced back and forth between 220 and 219 so it will go just not today. lol
Anyway, I continue on..

Gina,

Just in case this might help you... Does your insurance offer mail-in prescription filling?

I've had a couple plans where you can get 3 months of drugs for only 1 month's payment. You probably are already aware of this, but what the hey  Definitely has saved me some mola :D

I hear you on the family "fixer." That's my Mom too ;)

I hope the vent helped too! :)

I KNOW JO HOW ABOUT THOSE STEELERS!!!! WOOOOOT!!! How in the world did you get tickets?

We have season tickets. They're hard to get. In fact we were on the waiting list for 12 years but got them way back when the Steele Curtain was still intact. Now, though we don't go to all the games, we never have to eat the price because someone always wants them or we have a good client we want to entertain, or an employee, etc. With the seat license we had to buy awhile back, we can leave them to our kids in our will! Sheeeez, and it's just a game, hehe.

You can always buy tickets from a scalper on game day, but you will pay a premium unless you're willing to take a chance and wait until just before kick off. Also, Gina, the Steeler website acts as an agent for season ticket holders who need to unload their tickets. We did that once and the tickets sold in less than 10 minutes. You may want to try there because the price is not inflated there.

I don't know how all of you keep up here in the journals/board...
I appreciate the suggestions and understanding of my rant. Thanks Jo for pointing me to the Steelers site I will keep my eyes on that.

TMI female "stuff" below..fair warning!I am still waiting for my "visitor" 31 days and counting  Not unusual for me..my cycles are generally anywhere from 28 days(when I got to my lowest on mf last year)-50+ days apart! UGH!

:? I am feeling very unsettled as of late and "low" just not like myself. I am convinced that its a seasonal thing and I am just gonna have to find ways to distract myself and get past it.

Anyway, down 3 for the week I am just gonna start counting Sundays as my week..it makes it easier...and I'm allll for easy.

Original weight: 276
Lost 88 and dropped to low of 188
Kept off-29 pounds
Restart 8/27/07-247
Week 1--9lbs-238
Week2--4lbs.-234
Week3--5lbs.--229
Week4--3lbs--226
Week5--4lbs.--222
Week6--2lbs.--220
Week7--3lbs.--217-30 down
Total Lost on MF- 59 pounds!

*Interesting sidenote-First time I was on MF. First seven weeks on plan I lost 29...indicator to me that my body is consistent with rate of loss.

Thanks Tammy, Biki and Tracy! I appreciate your cheering me on! :)

Still have that unsettled feeling goin on, tho it could be that I am busy planning a bday party for my almost 12 year old daughter for next Fri. Also, hubby turns 50 on Nov. 2 and trying to plan a little something for that. Thanksgiving is hosted here this year, so that ought to be interesting and since we will be leaving on Dec. 22 to travel to Ohio to spend Christmas with my entire family(Dad n Mom, Both brothers and their wives/families) and my sons' 11 bday is ON Dec 22nd, we are planning a small family party at the end of November for him too.

Also, Aunt Flo is still a no-show and yes I finally did take a preg test last night since it has now been 38 days since she last visited  Negative! So, I wait, my luck she will show up on Fri. and turn me into the most uncool mother in the world ,at Hannah's party.lol

The weightloss has slowed considerably but still "steady" so that is okay...I am struggling with not comparing my rate of loss to others, gotta stop that stinkin thinkin.

Good job on the 2 lbs Gina. Just remember it all adds up in the end!

Good luck with the b'day party planning this week and remaining a "cool" mom. My only neice is 12 and she calls me almost every night therefore I'm often schooled on exactly what's cool and what's not. :)

 Sheeeeee's heeeeerreeee!! :D Never thought I'd be so happy for my visitor to appear. rofl  amazing too how your whole attitude can shift...like, instead of feeling like "only 2 pounds???" Now its more like, "2 pounds during a week that I was premenstrual!!! WOOOOHOOO!!" LOL

Thank ya Tracy, those smaller losses do add up over time. I need to focus on the overall picture. Thanks! :)

Thanks so much Steph, you offer some excellent advice, one day at a time it is!
