funny new discovery

Postby Redhed028 » April 9th, 2006, 1:07 pm

I made a strange discovery today. As I am going on a cruise in a couple of weeks I was trying on some shorts and bathing suits to see what is not falling of me. Anyway, when looking in the mirror I noticed that I no longer had "chicken legs".

All my life people would say, "gee you have such skinny legs". When I was younger I thought they were great legs, and being an avid dancer in my younger years, I kinda flaunted them. However, as I got fatter, my legs got scrawnier.

Today it hit me!!! My legs were never really too skinny. It was that my body was too damn fat to fit on them. As I am losing the weight (34 lbs now) my legs fit better with my body and I can even start dancing again. I can breathe!!!!!

Well I might be nuts, but it was a great discovery. Woohoo, no more chicken legs Judy :D

That is super and I hope that happens for me too. I have always been told I have skinny legs and all I could think of was the fact that if that was the nicest thing someone could say to me.....that was sad!

Redhed,
You are so funny! No more chicken legs, eh? That's great! I don't have skinny legs, but I definitely carry most of my weight in my shoulders, waist and back. I only put a little weight on my legs too! Have a BLAST on your trip!

as soon as i started reading your post i was thinking I wish I had that problem. I have always had thick legs even at 107 pounds my legs were thick and strong. I would kill for nice skinny legs. I could wear skirts and let people focuse on those instead of my waist. Glad you feel better about your legs though.Thats great

Me too Penny! I have "thunder thighs" and a "wide load" LOL!! Even at the skinniest I ever was (140) I still had those! (thanks mom!) ;)

Well, at least I'm lucky in that the top matches the bottom!

lol I'm with Redhed on this one! I carry the majority of my fat in my midsection, and have legs that are solid & muscular & look like they belong on a person half my size - and they'll be where they belong, on a person half my size soon thanks to Medifast & all of the support on this forum!
