10 down, 145 more to go

Postby Nite Izes » April 4th, 2004, 2:52 am

well, I did my first week and to be honest it was not bad. I thought I would be hungry, but nope. I am having 3 shakes and 2 occassional light meals with 64 oz or more of water a day. I decided to not do a full liquid diet due to personal/medical reasons. I always keep a bottle of water next to me, no matter where I am or where I go, even next to my bed as I sleep. My meal intake are very light with no fried food or soda (not even diet ones). I am keeping it veggies, seafood/meats and certain fruits (diet fruit cocktails and applesauce have been very helpful). There are times that I can jug a gallon of water a day, it stops the hunger and keep you full.

Some of the things that I do eat with my plan are low carb, low fat and low calories. With it all, I lost 10 pounds and I do eat well, no starving or strict restrictions. It might just be 10 pounds of water weight, but it is more than I have been ever to take off on my own for a long time. I want to lose the weight gradually and not in any hurry.

Before I go to bed, I drink a lowfat, low carb milk with a protein powder supplement to help me to get all the proteins that I might be missing during the day as well as mulitvitamins and some chewables vitamins full of vitamin C, D & K for any nutrients that I am lacking.

Well, week #1 was an enjoyable transition and losing 10 pounds has made me feel good and not exhausted. I added to my signature my goals in steps. Now for the next journey and losing 25 more pounds for my 1st goal.

Excellent progress, congratulations! We all have to modify how we approach losing weight to fit our lifestyle and personality. It sounds like you've put a great deal of thought and effort into the planning of your diet regime. Good job!

You're going to make it, kiddo!

Good Job!
By the way, Welcome!
I have no doubt you'll make it and lose the remaining 145lbs. I also like the fact that you tailored medifast to your medical and personal needs. It makes it easier to stick to it and as long as the weight keeps coming off then it's even better!

Good work!
