Hi Donna,

Hope you are feeling good today.

I find myself getting a little depressed once in a while. For me, I don't know if it is related to all the changes I'm going through physically & mentally, but I suspect it is.

I have started keeping a journal (other than here) where I can write anything and keep it private. It can be very theraputic and eye opening to say the least.

Weight loss brings on so many changes in our lives. Not only how we see ourselves but also in our relationships with others. Then there is the whole thing about our minds being able to accept the fact that we are changing and our belief system about whether we can make it to goal and maintain.

Maybe your feeling down hasn't got anything to do with weight loss, just a thought.

I don't know that I have expressed myself very well here, but I do hope you are feeling better. :)

I also keep a written journal that even my therapist says I can keep private from her. It is highly therapeutic and I have learned so much about my thought life and emotions through writing.

I'm doing better now that I have made my mind up to continue on with Medifast. Thanks for your thoughtful posts Mary, Mickey and Biki. I was undecided because I couldn't stay on plan, kept cheating, blah blah blah. After much thought for the past 10 days or so I have decided to continue on. I'm going to place a new order this weekend sometime. This plan has worked better than any other plan I have ever been on, I just need to get serious again and get busy.

My daughter and I are registering for a 5K walk/run for February. It's going to be cold but I would rather be in the cold, with lots of clothes, than be in the heat. I figured that I would have a goal to work towards and will have plenty of time to get ready for it. Who knows, maybe by then I could actually jog the whole 5K.

I can do this!

Great Decision! I haven't been here long, but I can tell you I sure have appreciated the support and kudos I get from everybody. I am finding it hard to cheat because I have kinda made it a sort of competition. How much can I move that ticker this Sunday???

Anyway, you go girl and get back on that plan. YOU CAN DO IT. And with the goal of the 5K in Feb you certainly have something to work for!

Thanks rodeomom, Mickey and Biki for posting. and the support. I would really miss everyone if I did leave.

Rodeomom, I like the way you look forward to moving the ticker, good way to look at it. I am looking forward to the 5K and training for it. I have an 8 week plan printed out and will start when I get back in town after the weekend.

Donna, I'm glad you are back and determined to be on program again. It is very hard to break the cycle of bites off program once it has begun. Good for you for deciding to continue!

Thanks Tawanda! This is the best plan I have ever been on so I can't believe I thought about throwing in the towel. Guess it was frustration on spending the money and not losing like I should (cheating).

Next time any of you are in the grocery store check out the Woman's World Magazine (usually at the check-out counter) for October 16th. Medifast article inside and touted as a diet that doctors love. The lady on the front cover is a success story.

Hi Donna - thanks for dropping by my journal and saying hi. Glad you are going to get back on track! Remember to set yourself some mini goals that will get you to that big goal of that 5K. One big goal is not very rewarding if you don't celebrate little acheivements along the way!

Donna, I had been at the grocery store the day before you posted about the article but didn't buy any magazines. I'll try to remember to look for it on Monday.

Glad you are sticking it out and keeping going!

Thanks ladies for stopping by and saying hello.

I'm back on track this morning and have already exercised (walked) and will do some strength training this evening.

I'm eating my oatmeal right now while reading some journals. I will not really be able to catch up until tonight. I'll check back in later, gotta go to work.
