Everyone has a different experience on this program. I am sorry some are not able to find their way back on the program easily after having a few off-program bites, but I for one am able to have a meal off program and get right back on track. I don't need or appreciate someone judging my actions and "shaking their head"!!!! Aren't we all adults here?

I don't encourage anyone to eat off program if you can not get back on track. I did not do it often, but I think it has been MY saving grace. I don't do it mindlessly either. It has also worked for me in maintenance. I am still 3 lbs under my goal weight.

Donna, I hope you find what works for you. Someone else's experience is not necessarrily your road map. Find what works for you.

Mickey, I didn't mean anything negative when I said I would shake my head.......just that it didn't work for me and I hate the thought that someone may struggle as I have....guess I should have worded it a bit clearer and better so I wouldn't offend anyone.

I am glad that not everyone struggles with getting themselves back onto plan. Just wanted to warn others that it isn't always as easy to be compliant for some of us...... My apologies to any I may have offended.

Donna.....sending you my best. :)

In this case, i think i would have to agree with tawanda (not that anyone asked my opinion). Unfortunately, there are sooo many of us that have taken those off plan bites and had to find out the hard way how difficult it was to get back on plan, if at all. But mickey, you are right, everyone IS different, you were one of the lucky ones who didn't struggle with that problem. I wasn't offended by tawanda's comment, probably because i had experienced it firsthand.

I'm still here and back on program for two days now. I am one of those that find it hard to get back on program after messing up but here I am again. I don't have much time right now but wanted to say that I will be checking in as much as possible (hopefully every day) and will try and catch up with reading some journals. Thanks to those of you who posted in my absence, I appreciate the kind words and thoughts.

Two days down, that's excellent! You can do this. Just a another day or two more of being stronger than your temptations and you'll be in ketosis. Hang in there!

I have more clothes waiting for you. ;)

Back again and starting over. I'm feeling so discouraged because of my past failures; even now I don't feel that I have the right frame of mind (like I did when I first started) to get this done. What's wrong with me!!! I want to be healthy and thin but it's so hard to be compliant every day. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and see the depressing results (I know I'm over my ticker weight).

Donna there are a bunch of restarters here. There is nothing wrong with you. You are human. We are all humans. Don't beat yourself up over it. Just get back on the saddle. I am right there with you. If you need support I will be right there for you.

past failures are just that...the past. every day is a new day and you always have the option of restarting! That's the beautiful part. Jump right back in with the rest of us. If you fall off this time (which you won't) keep jumping back on. It will eventually click like it did before, you know? Let's go!

Thanks ladies for the supportive and encouraging words. After reading them this morning I actually felt hopeful. I did weigh this morning and figured that it's going to take me a couple of weeks to get back to ticker weight. It's so crazy how easily pounds will creep back on you if your not careful. Unfortunately I adopted my past attitude during the week between Christmas and New Years and that's what happened. I thought I was over that and would never weigh over 200 lbs. again; what a reality check!

I want to lose this weight! We have a trip to Cancun planned for the first of June (son's graduation from high school). We have taken each of our kids on a trip after their HS graduation and I have been overweight during each one. This year we have a large group going with us and if I don't lose the weight I will be the largest one there.

Have a good week!
