Hi everyone!

I checked out Walmart last week online, and they were selling the Back to Basics Blender Express for $14. It comes with a separate sippy lid that you can twist on and then take with you. I bought it and it works great! Sounds similar to what Lisa bought with her Hamilton Beach. Just a thought, in case you cannot find one in the stores.

I looked around at Wal-Mart last weekend. They carry a blender set that's exactly like the Magic Bullet, except it only costs $15. Does pretty good on blending up ice, although it is pretty loud. Guarranteed to get the spouse out of bed in the morning.

 Thanks for the info, Nova! How funny about using your Wally World "Magic Blender" as an Alarm Bullet for shooting the :snooze: snoozing hubby outta the sack!

Some blenders do great at whipping up the drinks but they are not so good at grinding ice, especially long-term.

Our former house had a refrigerator with an ice and water dispenser. We had the option of ice cubes or crushed ice. When we used the crushed ice, the Magic Bullet had no problem but when we moved to a house with an ice maker but no crusher, the old Magic Bullet struggles to crunch up those ice cubes.

When your husband throws his pillow at you, wrap the blender with the pillow to muffle the noise!

Happy to see you on board here - you are already in the 10 Pound Club and moving on down the scale and headed for the 20 Pound Club!

I just want to thank you so much for posting this recipe. I have been having a terrible time with the vanilla shakes. I like all the others, just not the vanilla. I tried this and it was delish!

It was something different and more filling. I will definitely be having more of these. Maybe one a day! LOL

Thanks again.

I bought one of those paid advertising channels deals on the magic bullet and got two for $49, two 12 piece sets actually.

I took one to work and kept one in my kitchen. I LOVE MY MAGIC BULLET!!!

I blend everything in it, even my creme soups and cappuchino, makes everything better... Has completely changed how I feel about my m/f food...

I even mix my pudding up in it, add extra water and some ice and then drink them. Love it, absolutely love it....

What a great deal! I love mine, but since I'm temporarily without my normal fridge (with the crushed-ice dispenser), I put ice cubes in a baggie and whack 'em a few times with a meat tenderizer. The Magic Bullet has no trouble with the pieces.

Lulie--I am so glad you like it.

mmob--I am not sure if they have it in Florida or not. I am pretty sure thay have Fanta Red. It is not exactly like Big Red, but it is similar. If you find some and like it, I would be glad to ship it to you when you get home. It is really easy to get here in Texas.

I have never heard of the Nehi Strawbery drink. Try it. I have just been experimenting around. I like diet cream soda and the orange shake, diet root beer and the vanilla, obviously diet BR and vanilla. Let me know if you want me to send you some. I would be happy to do it. Share the love----you know??

Thanks, I just might take you up on that - I'll pay you for S&H but I need to wait till I get home - I'm in Florida right now helping to care for my dad.

I don't think they make Nehi anymore - it was one of those drinks I loved as a kid!!

Thanks a zillion!

Maria, regarding the availability of Big Red in Florida, try a couple of Winn Dixie's and the Walgreen's down here.
