Didn't make my first mini goal but still happy

Postby FORMOMMY » April 15th, 2006, 6:10 pm

Well, I made a mini goal to lose 40 pounds by Easter and I didn't make it. But I am not unhappy or discouraged...I lost 39.5!! I guess that is pretty close, don't you think??? :D

I may wake up tomorrow and be down the half a pound but at this moment I am happy and proud of myself. I have dropped 2 sizes and I have never felt better. I have people at work telling me how awesome I am and that I am phenomenal - HA!!! They don't understand that Medifast makes this journey easy!!!

My next mini goal is to lose 25 pounds by June 10th - that is my niece's wedding. That is 7 weeks - it may not be do able but that is the goal I have set!!!! So there! Hee hee....

I think that pesky half pound will be gone by tomorrow and I do think that your next mini goal is very doable. If you stick to the program you can not help but be a loser!

Thanks everyone - I hope you all had a wonderfully, blessed Easter yesterday. I know I did. I saw family members that I haven't seen since Christmas (we email and phone but haven't been able to get together even though we live in the same town!!!) and they were all amazed at how good I looked - hee hee. The compliments were coming at me left and right - I LOVED IT!!!!! I hubby stood there beaming for me....I love that man!

Loribug you cracked me up with your comment - one trip to the bathroom and it will be gone - HA!!

On to the next goal - June 10th!!!

ForMommy, you ARE awesome and phenomenal!

How cool is that you can set a goal, and reach it? You know what's really funny? How particular we are about every ounce we lose...

I remember being on so many other diets, and finding myself conveniently "rounding up" how much weight I had lost. But on this diet, I won't budge on the numbers. In fact, when I had hit 79 pounds down, my mom said something about just telling folks it was 80. I said NO! I told her every pound is significant, and we can't go skipping over goals like that!

Your 39.5 is FANTASTIC, as will be your 40, 45, 50, and then some...

Keep on keepin' on!

THanks Lauren. I know what you mean. My hubby said to just tell them I lost 40 pounds and I said - NO! I've lost 39.5 and that last .5 pounds will be too terrific to gloss over! He thinks I'm nuts.....in a good way though....other than the Lord he is my biggest supporter!
