Postby dede4wd » December 15th, 2006, 9:20 pm

Ran myself ragged with the painting and ladder today again...oh well! Not getting on the pilates machine tonight either!

Good news. I met up with friends in from out of town tonight. I was waiting for them at a restaurant. They walked right past me...calling my cell to see where I was. They turned when mine started ringing...never recognized me! People I've known since I was 16! It was a pretty funny NSV!

They wouldn't shut up about how great I looked! We went for mexican food and I had a little more fajitas than I should have, but a good time was had by all!

One more coat and I should be able to get off this daing ladder. Then I'm chipping my fireplace tile and then moving to the bathroom wall tile. I'm going to hate my sledgehammer by the time I'm done!

Hi DeDe -
You are doing so well!!! I just had to give you a shout out and say congrats on getting to the 170's!! :woohoo:

I'm really trying to keep the plan simple...I lose so slowly, but I'm sticking with it!
My next goal is to get through Hanukkah dinner and my brother's birthday (both on Sunday) without going off plan. My in-laws are Jewish, so I get to enjoy both holidays. Unfortunately, they are going to have Italian food for dinner. They asked my hubby and I to bring a salad, so I think I'll bring a rotisserie chicken so I can eat that with everyone else, and avoid the PASTA!! :dohdoh:
And as long as my brother's birthday cake stays far away from me, I should be ok at his house too!
I like the fact that I don't have to think about what I'm going to eat on this plan, but I hate when I have to think about what I have to avoid around other people! I'm trying to stay strong!!!
Here's to a loss at weigh-in this week! Keep up the great work!

You'll do great Tracey!

I hate planning too, I love this plan because I don't have to think about anything...but at times like these, where there's cookies and cupcakes and pasta involved, a little planning is much better for the emotional well-being!

I think the chicken is a great idea!

That's a great NSV!! My uncle did that to me a few months ago, and he's known me since I was born (and he's seen me thin before, too).

You'll be back where you were before (and then at goal) before you know it, DeDe!

Hi

Well, the scale didn't budge this morning...got more done to the house (chipping tile off the fireplace, pulling out old shower doors), got rid of all the evidence (except the dust!) Hoping for a good Sunday roll call, but not too worried about it!

You know, if you ever run out of stuff to do, come visit Texas. I've been in my house since May and I still haven't finished removing the wallpaper from one bathroom, let alone the rest of the house.

I just want to be DONE Robin! I want to be able to put everything away and have a clean, comfortable home, not fall over stone veneer every time I wander through my house!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 18th, 2006, 7:36 pm

Well, today I was at 177 even. Ran my heiney off today, but I think I'm going to try to get back on the pilates machine to start making it a habit at least 3 days per week!

Did good on the program...

Thank you, DeDe for your example and support. The cliched phrase is that we stand on the shoulders of giants. At Medifast, chubbos like me get to stand on the shoulders of slimmer people like you but giants in attitude and strength!
