Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 19th, 2006, 9:59 am

Thanks you two!

I'm sticking at 177 today...so that's 3.4 lbs for the week, pretty good eh?

I am holding my Christmas goal at 175...don't need any disappontment on a happy week!

Ordering some new stuff today, gonna give the scrambled eggs a try even though I'm not much of an eggs eater..I like to try all the new stuff...who knows, it might be a favorite. I wasn't much of an oatmeal eater before the program either.

I'm pretty disappointed in myself, haven't been on the pilates machine all week. I have been running my heiney off doing home projects, but I really want to make a habit of the pilates machine. For sure tonight!

That's my weekly progress shot!

Great job on your loss! I happened to see page one of your journal, and you said then you were 192 lbs--was that your restart date? ( I was reading roll call.)
Anyway, dont beat yourslef up on Pilates--swimging a sledgehammer aint no easy chore. You probably lost inches in your arms!!
Have a very happy week, DeDe!!

Hi, DeDe. 3.4 for the week is fantastic !! Congratulations. Also, as others have mentioned, I wouldn't be too worried about the pilates while you are keeping yourself so active in other ways. Do as you like, of course, but you don't want to make things impossible for yourself and then be disappointed if you don't get to it exactly as you had planned. You are already doing a lot, both mentally and physically, just dealing with your house. I know how that is.

I think I understand the desire to make a regular exercise a habit, though. For me, I think "well, I know I am busy now, but I am *always* busy and there is always *something*... so, I need to just make it a habit no matter what." I think that's true to an extent, and when it's my own thoughts and my own life, it makes perfect sense logically. But, when I look at what you have been up and have the chance to observe it within somebody else's busy life, I see the need to be a little easy on oneself, too.

Cheers to you, DeDe,
Karli

Thanks Karli,
I won't beat myself up about it. I KNOW I'm getting PLENTY of activity lugging around bags of mortar and wallboard, so it's all good!

I'm at 176.4 today, so that's really good! I might actually meet my Xmas goal of weighing 2oz less than my driver's license says (175)!

Packing up all my rtd's and bars for my trip to California, so this will be my first road trip since the re-start. Not worried about it at all...nothing's easier than MF on the road!

I won't post as much for the next 4 days, but I'll check in and say hi. My next weigh will be Sunday, so it'll be a surprise for all of us!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 24th, 2006, 9:41 pm

Okay, I'm home.

I did really good on the program...
Thursday was my work party. Ignored the buffet, did well. Thursday night, went out to dinner with my oldest friend. Then went to meet up with "the one that got away." Avoided treats and booze. One that got away said I looked beautiful! Yay!

Friday, survived an old lady trying to give me treats that were homemade. Survived dinner out with skeptics about the plan...was doing great! Friday night survived drinks with an old friend without food or booze.

Saturday. Avoided EVERYTHING at Disneyland. Huge victory! Walked 137 thousand miles...tried to keep my meals timed right! Didn't have enough water all week, but was doing well otherwise.

Went to a club to see a show...my favorite live band. Was drinking soda water with a twist of lime. Apparently, one of my friends decided I wasn't being enough fun, so I found out they were putting grey goose in my glass in increasing increments every time I ordered. Once I realized it, I decided to....

Fall into a bottle of grey goose. Yup...drank A LOT! One of those "I'm already screwed moments"...inhibitions were down...the voice said I might as well continue to drink and drink and drink.

Had a BLAST at the show, and had an interesting NSV...

DeDe is usually a wallflower type. but decided to go dance with the cutest guy in the joint. Yes, me! What can I say, I had a thing for the pompadour and pork chop sideburns! Even took him home with me!

Okay, I'm back, not getting on the scale for a couple of days, I know what I did...I'm going to concentrate on getting all my water and meals in and am doing okay...except for the hangover...MAN was that a drive home.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Girl - you had plenty of Christmas Cheer! It sounds like you had fun though. Yay for you for avoiding the food! I probably wouldn't have been able to step away from the vodka either! I miss vodka...
Good for you for dancing with the porkchop pompadour wearing man...hey...don't forget to count that dancing as exercise!!!!! ;)
