Day One

I am not sure what I was expecting and I know I still have my L&G and another snack I think to eat still. Today was great! I started with a shake, then a bar 3 hrs later, then my chicken noodle soup 3 hrs after that then another shake. I will eat dinner and have another snack. I have NOT felt hungry ecxept once and it was like 5 min. till lunch so I don't count that.
The soup was good once I put salt and pepper in it :) Oh I have a question...I thought I read somehwere that I can have sugar free gum right? I think I also read somewhere that 2 hard boiled eggs equal one lean...is that right?

Yep, I didn't have any trouble either......just had a slight headache on the third day.

Yes, you can have sugar free gum. After you are in ketosis, you will need it for the dragon breath.

And, yes, you can have 2 eggs as a lean....I think there's a limit on times/week, though. Anyone have the Quick Start handy?

I'm glad to see you had a good first day!

Hi Elke,
So glad you're doing so well! Don't forget your :water: !

As for your egg question...the Quick Start guide says you can have 2 eggs in replacement for you lean, but limit it to 3 times per week.

You can also have up to 5 sticks of SF gum (or mints) per day.

Yell if you need anything else, you're doing GREAT SO FAR!

Elke, make sure you get 5 MF meals, plus your L & G AND a snack! I only counted 4 mf meals!

dede, Thanks for the worry but I had not had my L&G or my last snack when I started the thread :) Also I have been drinking only water for the last 2 weeks. My intake is anywhere between 80 to 100 oz of water :)

WOOOHOOOO!!! Ok I tried to send you a message on yahoo but apparantly your kid got it and I felt like a geek cause it went something like this.

"WOOOHOOOOO I am so glad your first day went well. I am so Flippin excited for you right now that you would laugh if you saw me. I can't wait till the end of your first week cause I know your gonna be ecstatic!!!"

Bout that time your kid said "my mom isnt here right now" LOL I about died. I apologized for putting him through that and said Goooodnight.

You are doing great but be sure to get in your 5 medifast meals like dede said. The L&G and snack doesn't count. You need 5 mf meals a lean and green and you can have a snack.

Well maybe I'm confused. Would someone please give me an example of what they eat and the order they eat it? I thought I was doing good now I'm not so sure and today is day 2.

Elke~

I am sure you are doing fine. A typical day for me is

07:30am any MF meal
10:30am any MF meal
01:30pm any MF meal (if I am having a bar for the day it is usually now)
04:30pm any MF meal
07:00pm L&G
10:00pm any MF meal

Just be sure you only have one bar a day and it is not good to have it as your first or last meal. You can do your L&G anytime. I drink water between every meal.

Hi Elke and Welcome,

A typical day for me is:

7:30 - MF Meal
10am - MF Meal
12:30 - MF Meal
3:00 - MF Meal - usally my bar
5:30 - Lean & Green Meal
8:00 - MF Meal

Somewhere in the afternoon I have a snack, either soy crisps or crackers.

Just remember YOU CAN DO IT!
