Many thanks to the MF girls for all of the great suggestions! I should have known I could count on the extended MF family for wedding tips as well! lol :D

Today is Day 10 and I am feeling great. I am at the nice spot where the cravings aren't nagging me and my energy is up. It's hard not to be positive and upbeat with sunshine like this! Thank goodness spring has finally sprung; I was going crazy with the doom and gloom of winter here in upstate NY.

I am busy researching cakes (yikes!) for a girlfriend's bridal shower in May and plotting out how I can avoid any cheating while still feeling satisfied and included during the merriment. The shower is May 18 from 3 - 5pm so I am going to work hard to plan sweet-tasting MF meals around those hours to hopefully make it easier. Maybe pudding before I go and my favorite choc/mint bar for when everyone else has cake. If anyone has any ideas let me know!

Otherwise, I am working on a strong push between now and Memorial Day, looking to lose another 20 - 30lbs. I am working really hard to make sure the L/G doesn't sneak over into the danger zone by taking in too many of the higher carb veggies that are allowed (tomatoes, etc.) and trying to be more mindful of the water intake - that is always the toughest part for me. So that is where I am at today. Who is with me for a big push to Memorial Day and how much do you want to drop? Let's set some goals and make it happen!

Crap-Stuffed Chicken

First, pound out chicken breasts (more or less depending on how many people you will serve) so they are about twice as wide and twice as long end to end as before thinning them. Sprinkle each one with a pinch of kosher salt and some fresh-cracked black pepper.

I was just catching up on some journals I hadn't looked at before, saw this, and almost fell out of my chair.

Ha. Well, after spending a week at my cousin's place in Montana, scooping up after 23 dogs, I should have plenty of filling.

Hey Cyd. I think she was referring to the word CRAP stuffed chicken. LOL Robin is our spell check girl. And we love her for it. Glad to have you back robin.

Ok, ok....I'm going to whine for a minute.

I miss the activity level of the forum when I was here last time. I miss the constant posting and always being excited to read what people are up to so anytime people want to start coming out to play again, I'll be right here with my ball looking for a playmate.

I'm going to try to post regularly! I feel the same way. When you come on the site and there's nothing new, it bums me out! Things are moving way faster, now so it is much easier!

I hope your days are going well...and that sunday is a good weigh in. I'm struggling, so we'll see how mine goes!

PS-I am a spell-aholic, too! At work they tease me, because my "Claim to fame" is that I went to State for spelling in the 4th and 5th grade! 8) I love spelling, etc...

Yeah, I'm hoping all the regulars return, and any newbies who got discouraged by the site problems and lack of posts.

And sorry. I'm an editor, so I try to restrain myself and I don't go around picking apart everyone's posts. But sometimes I just can't help it when it's funny.

(Cyd, I also have two dogs, including a black Lab mix. The cousin's a musher, though, who was supposed to be in the Iditarod this year till he had to have surgery. So that's why so many dogs. All but two of them are on his dog-sled team.)

I've been really pushing myself to keep my water intake up over the last couple of days and I feel really good about it - despite knowing the huge role water plays in flushing pounds out for good, I am always kind of slack about water intake. I am also likely guilty of too many calorie-free beverages in addition to borderline water intake so I am making a concerted effort to amend both of those matters this week. It is all a part of my big push to Memorial Day. Speaking of which....who is with me on this? Set yourself a goal with me and let's get it done! (Katie, Summer...I'm looking at you girls because we're all about the same weight and we're all beyond anxious to drop pounds fast so I think you should join me in kicking butt over the next 40+ days!) :D

40 days, I'm in! Let's get it going, my health club membership expired so every day I am going to exercise with Gilad on the FitChannel...it's the same stuff they did at the health club and I'll be home instead of spending time and gas money to get to the club.

Oh baby! I'm in on the 40 day! Memorial Weekend is my first wedding anniversary (well, a few days off from that!) And I was hoping I could be at least 170, if not 165!!! I'm in. We should start ourselves a separate thread, so we can check in regularly. Could we put it in the weight room, maybe? (If there is a mod out there who has a suggestion that would be great!) You all are a great inspiration to me!

I can't wait! We are totally at similar stages, although due to my "naughty candy/cookie" problem recently, I'm stalled out a bit. Hopefully, by Sunday I will have a little bit gone. I still feel good and I also feel empowered by the fact that I'm "back on" and doing well!

Can't wait to follow our progress, ladies! Let's get on it! :D

I am really exited to have you on board, Summer! Somehow I knew I could count on you to help kick my butt into gear. I think a separate thread sounds great - I will start one in The Weight Room because that seems to make sense.

Finishing up week 2, I am feeling great! Energy is up, rings are swishing around, pants feel a bit looser, and the sun is up and shining so it doesn't get a whole lot better. 8) I am hoping to finish strong with a strong weigh-in on Monday (silly me and my one day off on the weigh-in lol) and keep on keeping on. I looked back at old posts and in my first MF round I lost 7lbs, 7.5lbs, 2lbs, 6lbs in the first 4 weeks for a total loss of 22.5lbs. The neat thing about the old posts...in week 3 I explained I'd had a hard time getting all of my meals in and had to stretch it on the L/G because I was home dealing with a family emergency so it was neat to revisit that. All in all, I'm hoping for a repeat performance or possibly to even beat it in my first 4 weeks this time.

One negative - my friend who was with me has dropped out of the MF race. She is completely out of her mind after having lost 0lbs this week and I cannot seem to convince her it is worth it to at least finish up her first 4 weeks of food and see how things balance out. I feel upset because I know she really wanted this and because I know she really wanted to do it so she could be healthier before trying to have kids. Right now she is probably binging on a bacon cheeseburger because as per her words this morning, she'd rather be fat and happy then on program, putting in all the hard work, and still fat.

Somehow, it pushes me even more to succeed. It's not a competitive thing - I really wanted this for her as much as for me, but I'm determined not to let her decision bring me down so I'm pushing forward full force and looking toward my goals, regardless. I just really really REALLY wish she'd wait before throwing in the towel...
