I know this is probably not something that is allowed but.....
I would LOVE to have a small side salad with my medifast soup in the afternoon. It would just make lunch time that much better.

I mean even a 1/2 cup ? with maybe 1/2 tsp of dressing ?

Please someone tell me I can make this dream come true ?

Can you do it...yes. We're not the diet police.

Should you do it? Up to you and your body. It might slow down your weight loss more than you're comfortable with. Might not. If it's bothering you, how about having your celery stalks as a snack along with your soup at a time of day that is troubling to you?

You might want to add an extra shake if you can't stand it while you're new, but I have a motto that "if it isn't in the quick start guide, it doesn't go in my mouth!" I'm kind of a stickler to the rules and have been rewarded with 42 lbs gone in 9 weeks!

If you are on the senior plan, or on one of the diabetic modified plans, that's part of the plan.

As DeDe stated, though, it's up to you. How fast do you want to lose the weight? The best result come with following the plan as written...15,000 physicians and 1,000,000 participants can attest to it!
