Blast From the Past

Postby Zinkette99 » June 9th, 2006, 12:21 pm

I was a little embarrassed to post again being that I have been MIA for almost 4 months now. I have been through a really hard time in my life so I really put Medifast on the backburner. It makes me want to kick my own butt because I see the success of Falismarie (who started around the same time I did) and she just looks SO GREAT and I can't help but think "Wow if I had stuck with it I could have looked that good too by now." So I feel bad but I know that "feeling bad" won't help me lose this weight. So I am back. I started about a week ago and I am down 7 pounds. I have been using my old Medifast products and once pay day hits next week I will be ordering some more. I am really excited to start again.

I feel like I have to do this because... Well, my weight is effecting everything in my life. My husband doesn't seem very interested in me any more (we have only been married 8 months) and he finally broke down and admitted its because of my weight. Which really hit me hard hard HARD but it was something I guess I already knew. I am pretty down. But I know I can finally really do this. I hope no one is rolling their eyes at me. I am sorry I was a quitter before. It IS shameful to me but I am ready to do this again, the right way.

No one thinks of you as a quitter. Life is hard and sometimes it takes us more than one try to get things right. I am so glad that you are back with us and what counts is that you are trying again. None of what happened before in the past matters, you are a winner.

Thanks for the compliments but trust me this is not easy for me either.

You can and will do this and I will be the first to say that I will walk right along beside you.

Before long your hubby will not be able to keep his hands off you.

No one will blame you for life. It happens and you did what you thought was best. What is important is you want to do it this time. Your back and on track.

aww dont be hard on yourself... things happen to us all and we at times break under the pressure of everything. you're human. what matters now is you are back and you are doing this. you are in no way a quitter. it takes alot of guts to stick to something like this and be willing to basically change your lifestyle you are used to to something healthier. definitely stick around though and if you need support you have it here :D

Welcome back, Zinkette. Don't be embarrassed; plenty of us have setbacks of one kind or another. The important thing is you're back for another go, and we're all here to support you.

Welcome back! Someone else on the forum had the following quote in their signature (can't remember who it is or was) and I love it. I even posted it on my wall at work.

Welcome back! This is all part of the journey - you just had a small detour. I'm so sorry about what your husband said. After seeing your picture again, I have to agree with Dogma; he's crazy. You are so, so beautiful! One of these days, hopefully you'll know that about yourself.

Good for you for coming back to the plan. We're here for you every step of the way.

I am so excited to be back and doing it right. Thanks for getting me through this. I hate having to admit I failed at something so I will remember ChiNut's quote. I think that just might be my new signature!

Thank you so much.

Hi Zinkette99,
Wow that quote is powerful. Believe it and take it to heart. You have not failed you are not giving up. Just stay excited about were you are heading and don't look back.
