Hey, Tex, glad you checked in. Did your doc say it's OK to go back on plan so soon? Seems like you might need some extra calories for a while till your body's recovered.

Hellloooo, Everyone! (best Seinfeld imitation)

It's good to be back on the MF track. It's officially two weeks since I had breast reduction surgery and temporarily left MF. I didn't go too crazy, but it's funny - I felt really guilty eating off plan, even tho I knew I could! Today is my first 100% day, and I've been a bit hungry and I'm definitely not back up to speed on the H2O, but I'm chugging 'em down as fast as I can. I feel so much better being back here where I belong!

Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back on a regular exercise routine, too! I'm starting on the treadmill tonight. Next Monday I'll start going back to the gym, but I won't do upper body exercises until my follow-up with the plastic surgeon three weeks from now. I feel good, but I know I have stitches on the inside and I don't want to take any chances of over-doing it!

The surgery went really well. I have stitches on the inside that will dissolve, but on the outside my incisions are actually glued together (no stitches to take out!). I didn't have any drains, either. There wasn't a lot of pain but I was really sore and bruised under my arms where they did lipo. About a week after surgery I started running a temp so I went back to the surgery center for a night to get fluids and antibiotics, but went home just fine the next day.

The next day we got a call that Troy's step-dad was in the hospital, so we quickly drove up to Dallas to be with his mom, who just recently had both hips replaced. We were afraid he had suffered a stroke, but it turns out the diagnosis is Bell's Palsy, which has similiar outward symptoms to a stroke but there's a good chance he'll fully recover. He has weakness on the right side, but thank goodness he's left-handed. We stayed about four days and when we left they were both getting around the house fairly well, and his daughters had come to stay with them for a while.

Today is my first day back at work, and it's going great! I loved the days off, but it feels really good to have some structure back. And fortunately the next three days are really light, so it's a perfect time to get back in the swing of things!

Thank you all for checking in and for your good wishes! It was scary but now that it's over, I'm so very glad I went through with it! I love my new smaller, perkier girls! (heehee)

Thanks! As my exercise mentor I've done ya proud - I got back on the the treadmill for 30 min tonight! Yay!

Work went really well today. My chest is a bit achy where the stitches are underneath, but I didn't get too tired or worn out.

I stir fried a chicken breast with a little soy sauce and had it with steamed onions and red and yellow peppers for my L&G tonight. Yummy!

I've got all my shakes and puddings made up and ready to go tomorrow. Yup, I'm back in the MF groove!

Awww. The quilt's nice, but Dobbs is adorable! (And you look great, too.)

Good for you on the treadmill. I haven't felt like a very good example lately.

Doing alright my first week back a work. I'm a bit sore and swollen, but I expected that. It feels good to be back in a routine. MF is getting easier already. I'm not peeing as much (always a good thing) and not getting hungry between meals. But I was a bit late getting to my dinner meal yesterday, and I was ravenous! I added a package of ranch chips. I definitely still need be sure to eat on time so I don't get waaay to hungry.

I'm also back to the part-time job this weekend. It turns out they're doing some renovating, and the work load is really light. I'm so lucky - both jobs happened to have easy work loads the week I'm back!

Sunday DH, friends Judy and Melissa and I are gonna catch The Pineapple Express. I love me a good stoner flick! Can't wait to check it out!

Have a good weekend, all!

I've been back at work and back on the plan for a week now, and all's going good! It hasn't been hard to get back onto the MF food. I've been surprised that I haven't had many cravings. There have been isolated minutes where I saw or smelled something and had a wishful moment, but no "I have to have it" cravings. I'm relieved! :D

Getting back on the exercise track has been really hard. Except for the one evening of 30min on the treadmill, I've been sedentary. I come home from work SO tired. I have just enough energy to keep up with housework/laundry/errands, etc. and that's it. My guess is I'm still healing and the extra energy is going to that. I think going to bed earlier would help, so I'm gonna start doing that tonight.

Last Sunday we went to see The Pineapple Express with a big group and had a blast! Yesterday after we went with another group to Blues on the Green (free outdoor concert). We heard some absolutely awesome blues from Gary Clark, Jr. and W.C. Clark. Dobbs came along and we took a picnic (I took a shake and Crystal Light). Austin has the best people-watching!

Had a great weekend! Mostly just worked and slept a LOT. I think I just still need a lot of sleep!

Mom stopped by Sunday on her way back to Houston. She'd been in town to help my brother look after my two nephews. It was good to see her! She's been losing quite a bit on a Dr. supervised program. She looks great! It's good to see her feeling good - and feeling good about herself!

Things look so good post-surgery. I love my new boobies! Almost all of the tenderness and soreness is gone. All the glue has fallen off and the scars are very small already! I'm so, so glad I did it!

I weighed today - first time since surgery. I've been back 100% on plan for a week now, with no exercise. I weighed 203, 2 lbs up from before surgery. So I probably gained quite a bit more but lost it in the past week. I'm glad I didn't weigh last week! 2 lbs is nothin'! I can kick that just this week! I'm so happy to be back on the MF track!

Still struggling with the exercise track. I think I just tried to do too much, too soon. So I went to bed early last night, and set my alarm for 5am so I could get up and get on the treadmill this morning. Well, I woke up to my hubby's alarm going off - at 6:15! I had to rush to get to out the door - it's the first day back to school, so the ol' school zones were back in effect today and I didn't want to be in a rush on the road. So I missed my work-out.

Turns out, DH got tired of my alarm going off at 5am last week and me not actually getting up. I can understand that, so I'm giving him a pass on this round of sabotage. :D Poor guy. But I explained that tomorrow I really am getting up early! I'm also setting a back-up iPod alarm so if he gets the first one, the other one will go off.

I tend to fall into the ol' "all-or-nothing" mentality. But, even tho I didn't get in my early am time on the treadmill, I'm going to hit the gym after work. I'm supposed to meet gf Melissa after work to hear some live music. I usually go straight after work and hold a table for us. I think I'll give her a call and let her know it's up to her to hold the table for us today, 'cause I gotta hit the gym first.

Dobbs has started doing this thing where I'll take her out to potty, but when I tell her, "Go potty now" she does this little dance and then just stands there and stares at me. I thought I could out-last her, but we went 45 min. yesterday, with no peeing! I think she's thinking it's a game all of the sudden. So, now I give her a chance to pee, and if she doesn't within 10 min, it's off to the kennel for 10min, then we try again. We did this for 2 1/2 hours yesterday!!!! Stubborn little s@#t. Finally DH came home from work and he took her out - and she peed immediately! Argh.

Hey Chicky! Don't rush into that exercise routine too quickly. Since you are starting over on the program, you need to let your body adjust to the lower caloric intake again before you start the big expenditures. Think of it like a bank account. The surgery took a big chunk of your "savings" and you are not putting as much into the account as you were when you were off the plan. Taking too much out before you fully adjust will put your account into overdrawn status.

Corny, I know. But you are tired for a reason. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!!!
