I'm back and starting all over again

Postby 1Angel » February 3rd, 2007, 12:21 am

Hi, I'm so ashamed ... I've gained 42 pounds since my last visit here (last year, I was 224 back then). At least I didn't gain everything back ... my highest was 275 lbs when I first started this program, and today I am 266 ... But this is it ... I am restarting all over again and hopefully this time I'm going to the end with this. :cheermed:

I am convinced that no food tastes better than skinny feels. It's just not worth it. I paid the price to see that. If repentence were fatal, I would be dead a long time ago :brickwall: ...

Please, forgive me for dropping the ball, but as I said before, I am back and I need all the support I can get. This is the hardest thing I am doing for myself ... to lose this weight. I think this extra weight is holding me back from being the best I can be. I feel so bad ... I just want to hide ... you can see it on every picture taken during the holidays ... I was always hiding behind a pillow or someone ... so sad  ...

Please, let me know what is working for you and what I need to do to be successful this time on this program. :help:

I am open to suggestions! :hugblue:

Tks!

Glad you are here and you dont need to ask for our forgiveness, just our support and you already have that. This hasn't been the best week for me but I have lost almost 30 pounds by following the plan the way it is written, 5-1 and lots of water. I have slipped up a few times but NEVER stopped. So plan to stay on plan and JUST DO IT. You know it works, so make the decision and follow through. We're here for you.

In my experience (especially all of the times I fall off and get back on that wagon), the best thing that works for me is reminding myself of what I want. Is that yucky, fattening, high carb food going to taste good enough for me to start over again and take 3 days to get things going. I keep doing it, but I know what I gotta do, so don't beat yourself up anymore. We (well many of us here anyhow) all fall off and get back on.
So, remember your water (gotta drink it). Always be prepared (we keep extra packets at work and we always pack more than enough stuff when we go away).
Keep the house stocked with the right snacks (pickles, celery, soy crisps, SF jello and poscicles.
I use SF syrups (Torani and DaVinci) to add to things, as well as spices to help the taste of some of the foods.
Don't let others impede you.
Eat healthy when you eat out, make good choices. Don't overthink it also.

Other than that, I would say just use your best judgement and stick to your guns!
Good luck

Yeah, almost! Trying to focus on compliance more than the numbers, but it's hard when it is so close...

You are so funny :roflmao:

Hiking ... hummm I don't know, I barely can walk now ... today I took a short walk and realized how rusty and out of shape I am ...

But definitely, let's get together soon. We live so close to each other ... Maybe we can start with a walk :walk: , if you don't mind. I really don't want to hold you back on your hike ... :stroll:

I got so out of shape a year back they thought I had peripheral artery disease it hurt me so much to walk. I was just fat, boozy and bloated. Now I can walk two miles with no problem.

Angel;

It's a very understanding crowd around here. Everyone wants you to succeed and is willing to help. I am starting at about the same weight you are - so I'll watch your back if you watch mine. Together we'll kick the fat to the curb!
