hi skye! glad to see you back...ok, i am dealing with carpet envy right now. You cleaned them in March and are cleaning again? you wanna come to my house? I don't even wanna say when my carpets were last cleaned. Considering the light gray carpet is now looking charcoal gray (not really but you know...) I think it's time.

Ha OC! Did I mention cream colored carpets? And the almost two year old? And spill proof cups that might hold most of the drink in but still lets drops out when the cup is dropped or thrown on the floor? So there are nice little nasty grey spots all over my carpets. And um, we rent...and I would really like to get my $1000 deposit back. So, um, yah, I get a little anal about cleaning the carpets.

Oh, and I always try and make housework exercise. I did tell hub that next year at tax time he's getting me a treadmill. Maybe we'll get one before that but definitely when we get our tax money back. If we ever sell that house in IN then maybe that $$.

Okay, dinners on the stove and kids are calling. Gotta go be mommy

Ummm, I keep my carpets clean by maintaining a "protective" coat of dog hair on all flat surfaces.

Ha Robin! My kids asked for a dog again the other day. I have four kids so I don't need animals! Protective coat of hair tho might be beneficial!

you guys are HILARIOUS! :roflmao: so i guess i shouldn't feel bad about my infrequent carpet cleaning! I don't have a dog but i'm sure a 15 year old boy counts for something.

Hey ladies! I'm back again. I had some household crap to deal with yesterday so I wasn't on the puter most of the day. My neighbor finally came over to help put up one of the loft beds she gave me (the first week of NOVEMBER). So, we spent about two hours doing that yesterday morning. And then baby wouldn't nap so I went grocery shopping. By the time I got the groceries unpacked and situated I made a salad and it was time to get the big kids from school. Once I get them home we have a pretty 'normal' routine of snacks and homework. I had to finish cleaning the loft bed and get the bedding put on it.

Then most Tuesday nights we have girl scouts for one of my older two daughters. They both had it last night. One has to be there at six and one at six thirty so we take the first and then walk around and wait for the second to start (waste of gas and all that it would be to drive home). Plus there was a chance of showers last night so we couldn't walk.

Wow, I'm pretty gabby today huh? Not sure what's up with that. I think I could write a small book today. Maybe I'll be back later. Gotta go do something with the energy that I've got right now. I have so many things to do and don't feel like dealing with any of it.

That bed sounds like a lot of work! I hope it was worth all of the effort. lol Glad you stopped in today and are still sticking with it this week. :D

Regarding my measurement epiphany last night....have you taken any measurements? I know you and I were chatting before about feeling like we'll never actually get any smaller even if we're lighter. I think you should take some so you can prove to yourself that, yes, you are shrinking!

Hey Cyd, I'm actually due to measure in the morning. I'm playing in the 100 day challenge and tomorrow is the last day so I have to see how many inches and weight I've lost since the beginning of Feb when I joined the game.

Robin, I couldn't have shut myself up this morning if I tried! I even edited out a bunch of crap in the last post I wrote on my journal. I guess that's what I get when the other moms don't come over for coffee. I need some adult interaction. I've tried to keep myself busy but I keep checking back to see if anyone is on here.

Okay, gonna go check craigslist for a backpack baby carrier. Told 7yo daughter she was going spelunking this weekend and she sorta flipped out cause I wasn't going. Well, caves aren't really stroller friendly and wouldn't you know that hub starts his weekend rotation on Saturday so it's me and all four of the kids. So, here's hoping that someone in, or very close to, San Antonio has a backpack carrier to get rid of.

See there's that gabbiness coming out again! Gotta go!

you should know that gabbiness keeps us entertained, or at least provides interesting reading, especially since it has been slow lately. I'm glad to see that more people are popping in. Good luck over on craigslist.
