Great suggestion. Heres mine:

What I do at theoffice if to leet the soup soak in cold water for an hour prior to eating it. Then nuke for 2 minutes, let sit for 5 minutes. The soaking takes care of the hard-rice syndrome!!! Happy souping!

I prep ALL of my soups in the a.m. (add spices, whatnot), nuke for 2, leave in the fridge until I'm ready to eat, and then nuke for 3. I add extra water to the chili and nuke extra to make sure the beans aren't hard. I also put my oatmeal in a bowl, etc. basically i get EVERYTHING ready in the morning and i don't have to worry about making it later. :)
