Here I am at the begining of day 1. My current starting weight is 227, I am setting myself mini goals for the long haul ahead and 220lb is my first goal (which I havent seen if a couple of years). I will say thanks in advance to all the fellow forum users for the support I will need and welcome from you. :)

You have come to the right place and made the right decision to get started! Very good choice on a mini goal - you will knock out those 7 pounds in no time flat!! Have you chosen some little "prizes" for yourself when you reach those mini goals? For a while I would put a dollar per pound into a jar, when I reached a mini goal I would use that money for ME! $7 could buy, maybe a cute pair of earrings or a movie ticket. Just something small that you do for yourself to pat you on the back for a job well done. It is important to remember that what you are doing isn't easy, but WELL WORTH IT. Little rewards are just my way of doing that for myself.

I made it through day 1 with no problems, no cheats even. I only had 1 pickle spear from the freebies too! It's amazing because even though I hadnt expected to see the scale move at all overnight and figure what is lost at first is mostly water but I LOST 2 POUNDS OVERNIGHT!! Talk about great incentive to stick with it! I have been trying forever to just get those 2lbs to go away and that was my first unofficial goal from before starting MF. I cant wait until my Sunday weigh in, YEAH!!! :kool:

Awesome on the 2#! Isn't that just a great incentive to keep going? Let that help you make it through another day.

See, I told you that you were going to be able to do this! Don't you start trying to reason it away either --- water, fat whatever -- it wasn't muscle mass so who cares - 2 pounds is gone forever

I am truly amazed! I made it through day 2 no problem, and although I know some say not to weigh everyday, for me in the begining seeing is believing. And I gotta tell ya right now I'm a BELIEVER :woohoo:

Weighing everyday isn't a sin, really it isn't. You just need to remember not to put all your hope on the scale. There will be times when the scale lies to you (that wicked beast that it is). It will tell you that you are not makeing progress when, in fact, you are.

Keep up the GREAT work.

I am sooo frustrated :bricks: Yesturday was just crazy, 500 phone calls and running around like crazy! But through it all I stayed 100% compliant! Now today is starting out the same. I am an insomniac and its been one of those weeks running on little sleep, now I have to go in to work today and I dont want too :aarggh: Normally I telecomute which is nice but 1 time a week I gotta go in and show my face. Usually payday :-P . I am on day 4 and have no plans of givin up, not after the amazing results I got already, just venting. To all ya out there have a really great day!
