miss lilly wants everyone to know that she is the author of my blog. she said that if i was responsible for some of the stuff on there, i would never date again. in a shameless moment of self-promotion, i am 32 today!

i'm 32, very happily single (but mingling), completely in love with my career, under 200# for the first time in i-don't-know-when (okay, i was probably 8), able to jog past buildings in a single breath, and confident in myself as a human being.

i think a huge amount of that is due to the rapid weightloss i got from medifast. i allowed me to use the last 18 months to lose over 100# and then maintain that weight so that i could get used to my new body. oh, yes, it takes getting used to! i was clumsy before, but sometimes i'm like a teenage boy after a growth spurt-- all awkward and not sure about where/what body parts are. i still over-estimate the size of my butt, however i think it's getting better. i went kayaking for the first time on sunday, and i went faster, harder, and longer than the person who took me (she's been doing it for 3 years). i jog at 4am and feel sad when i have to go home to get ready.

i wouldn't go back to my 20's for anything!

Ohhhhh, so sorry miss lilly! My apologies. It's just that your writing seems so human and well, you know, intelligent, that I get confused. Not that canines aren't intelligent........hmmmmm, better stop before I dig myself a deeper hole.

Happy BD, alex. What did miss lilly do special for you today?

thanks everybody!

someone pm'ed me asking what's different after losing 100+ pounds. i wrote a reply, and then figured i might as well post it here, too:

i can walk without gasping for air.

i don't have to wear clothes i don't like just because they fit.

people don't look at me when i walk in the room, and then search for the elephant gun in case i stampede.

i don't feel like the biggest girl in the room-- even if i am.

i smile-- even when i'm not nervous.

and...
i'm having dirty hot sex in lots of positions that just weren't possible before--

with someone i choose, not someone who settles for me.

did i mention it's dirty and hot?
and dirrrty.
and hot.
yeah.

i'm a lot happier for a bunch of reasons after dropping a grown man from my dunky.

if one were to go to the new york and company website and look in outerwear, they would see a "swing coat" that is adorable in red. it's something i just bought...

in a size small.

granted, the cut makes it flare out so my dunky has room, but it fits. it doesn't almost fit, kind fit, or 'will fit.' it buttons; it has room; it fits.

holy cow.

and i look damn good in it, too.
